From Brock Lesnar emerging as the next challenger for Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship to Erick Rowan and Luke Harper completely overpowering Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan towards the end of the show, this week's edition of WWE SmackDown Live (17th September 2019) featured a lot of contrasting moments.

Last night's SmackDown Live episode had its ups and downs, but it was a decent show in the end. Of course, Brock Lesnar's addition to the Blue brand may attract a lot of viewers in the next few weeks as well.

Here are a few interesting observations from this week's edition of SmackDown Live:

#3 Brock Lesnar's chase for Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship is best for business

Honestly speaking, SmackDown Live desperately needs a commercial feud to headline their shows when the blue brand debuts on FOX very soon.

RAW already has its fair share of heated feuds right now, but when it comes to SmackDown Live, Brock Lesnar's chase for Kofi Kingston's WWE Title might be the ultimate headliner during the show's first episode on FOX.

Despite all the controversy surrounding The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar's involvement in any major feud attracts a lot of attention each time he returns.

While Kofi Kingston has had a fine run as WWE Champion, The Dreadlocked Dynamo will truly face his biggest challenge upon facing Brock Lesnar in the future.

This particular arc might also define Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship reign, and it may also be his last time holding on to that title for now.

Handing Brock Lesnar the title may result in heated controversy, but The Beast Incarnate is a prime candidate for attracting more viewers to the product, maybe except Roman Reigns.

As Kofi Kingston's status as the current WWE Champion hangs in the balance, do you think Brock Lesnar should win the title during SmackDown Live's debut on FOX?

#2 Kevin Owens-Shane McMahon feud just foreshadowed a crucial twist to the plot

Shane McMahon comes from a family infamous for 'firing' popular WWE Superstars in the past.

Of course, the recent example of that occurred last week, where Shane McMahon fired Kevin Owens for being 'insubordinate'.

But what happens when Shane McMahon receives a taste of what it feels like to be on the other end of the stick?

Kevin Owens clearly stated that he would enjoy the moment where Shane McMahon is the one being fired.

Now that The Prizefighter has threatened to sue WWE, we can see that this plot is heading towards a scenario where Shane McMahon will receive a taste of his medicine.

As foreshadowed last night, Shane McMahon's wallet and his pride might be at stake this time around, and this particular idea is way more interesting than a scenario where Shane McMahon keeps bossing around his foes every week.

#1 Daniel Bryan's imminent babyface turn gives Roman Reigns an unlikely ally on the blue brand

While SmackDown Live relies on mid-card heels to increase conflicts nowadays, it seems as if Daniel Bryan might turn babyface very soon.

Bryan's face turn is a product of circumstances that occurred during the Erick Rowan-Roman Reigns plot, and it looks like the former 'YES' Man might team up with Reigns to thwart The Bludgeon Brothers from creating chaos on the blue brand.

The current Universal Champion, Seth Rollins is on RAW busy fending off a force such as "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, and since The Shield has dissolved as a faction, both Reigns and Rollins have carved out their separate paths on the main roster.

So it looks like Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan might be unlikely allies for the time being.

More importantly, can Daniel Bryan's imminent babyface turn exceed the bar laid by his most popular run in the company around WrestleMania 30?
