The recently concluded WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View was quite entertaining for most of the night.

There were some questionable booking decisions and the show did end on a sour note after everything was said and done. However, there were various instances during the Pay-Per-View where the fans popped for good reasons of their own.

Even though the word 'Extreme' might have indicated that the show was bound to get out of hand, it somehow felt that Extreme Rules was precariously booked from start-to-finish. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but you could easily make out the definitive structure of last night's events.

Here are a few interesting observations from WWE Extreme Rules 2019:

#3: Why Brock Lesnar was handed the Universal Championship yet again

Even though Paul Heyman had warned us all that Brock Lesnar would definitely cash in for the WWE or Universal Championship at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, Seth Rollins should have been on his toes after defeating the team of Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a moment of fury.

But Lesnar still managed to win the Universal Championship despite Heyman's statement earlier on in the night.

From a kayfabe perspective, Rollins probably lost control of his emotions after Baron Corbin hit Becky Lynch with the 'End of Days', which would eventually lead to The Architect's downfall. That was one of the most unexpected moments of the night.

But from a booking point-of-view, it is quite apparent that Rollins hasn't had any formidable heel challengers after winning the title in the first place. Moreover, Summerslam 2019 is just around the corner, and Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion proves to be a worthy obstacle for Seth Rollins to conquer.

We also know that the 'chase' for a title in any situation draws more conflict than when the babyface has to hold his/her guard as a formidable champion.

Therefore, it makes sense why the Universal Championship was handed to Brock Lesnar once again.

#2: Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley's explosive encounter followed-up with a well-deserved conclusion at Extreme Rules

Before Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley went through an LED Wall on RAW recently, nobody would have predicted that these two wrestlers would be embroiled in a heated feud with all the momentum behind them.

Although last night's Last Man Standing Match featuring Lashley and Strowman had some filler sequences, all the best spots of the bout clicked with the WWE Universe.

Ultimately, Strowman prevailed as the monstrous victor after putting Lashley down for the 10-count and bursting through a wall to celebrate his well-deserved triumph.

This victory also proved to be a redemption story for Braun Strowman, who had lost his momentum after being involved in a series of comedic bits in recent times.

But after last night, it seems as if this should be a perfect conclusion to Strowman's feud against Lashley, and moving forwards let us hope that Braun Strowman reclaims his spot as one of the most unstoppable forces in WWE history.

#1: It was a clever booking decision to let The Undertaker kick-start the night

One would have expected The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre to go on last or at some point in between the card.

However, it was clever of the WWE to let these four superstars kick-off last night's main show. The Undertaker wrestled his way through the entire match in an impressive way, and Roman Reigns proved to be a great supporting partner for the Deadman as well.

As a matter of fact, all four of these wrestlers (and Elias) played their roles efficiently, and after everything was said and done, it was apparent that they had milked all the cheers as much as they could.

If this match would have main-evented the Pay-Per-View, then fans would have registered it as a nice treat, which is good, but in the overall scope of things, a Pay-Per-View should leave fans with burning questions for future shows as well.

Nevertheless, The Undertaker surely kicked-off the show in the best way possible, and he had a great moment with Roman Reigns after the match. But do you see the potential for a McIntyre-Undertaker match at Summerslam this year?
