The 33rd edition of WWE's annual Survivor Series PPV has concluded and as the norm in recent years, the main roster PPV has again failed to surpass the bar set by its NXT counterpart. Survivor Series this year was plagued by highly questionable booking decisions and has received mixed reviews from all corners.

Coming to the show, the two main events were actually spectacular as the four top superstars from either brand proved exactly why they are in that position. Even Brock Lesnar who is generally known for working boring squash matches these days has amused the WWE Universe and shown them what he is capable of doing in the ring when he is really motivated.

Daniel Bryan reminded the world that he is still one of the best pro wrestlers on the planet (if not the best) by putting on a marvelous main event along with the Beast Incarnate. His heel character looks fresh and his antics so far have been highly impressive.

Ronda Rousey and Charlotte were also outstanding as they put on an incredible show and the violent DQ finish at the end also meant that the duo will face off again in the future on a bigger stage.

Elsewhere on the show - Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura had a very good match. In the men's elimination tag team match, Braun Strowman continued his dominance for the second year in a row as he demolished the SmackDown men's team almost single-handedly. Drew McIntyre was also booked strongly as he was one of the three survivors at the end and also got to eliminate Samoa Joe very early in the match.

In this piece, we are going to take a look at three potential matches WWE might be planning for WrestleMania 35 after analyzing their booking decisions at Survivor Series.

Here are 3 matchups that could main-event WrestleMania 35 -

#3 Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch

This is one of the most probable match-ups for WrestleMania 35 given the animosity between all three Superstars involved. Both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have unfinished business with Ronda Rousey so it is quite possible that the trio may collide next year at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

There have been rumors going around lately that Vince McMahon is seriously considering a women main event matchup for WrestleMania 35. This is the best possible match right now that has the potential to main event any major WWE PPV.

#2 Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

This may look improbable right now as Seth Rollins is currently involved in a rivalry with Dean Ambrose. But when Rollins is done with this feud, the only way ahead for him would be to ascend into the main event scene on Raw to fill the void left behind by Roman Reigns.

He has had a phenomenal 2018 as he has been one of the standout performers in WWE this year so it makes sense if he is promoted to the main event scene the preceding year. The last time he fought for a primary championship was way back in 2016.

His comeback story into the main event scene can be scripted perfectly by making him win the 2019 Royal Rumble match which would then allow him to battle the Universal Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 35 and possibly win the prestigious title.

Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar clearly have an unfinished business in the ring as their WWE Championship match at Battleground PPV in 2015 culminated in a DQ due to outside interference from The Undertaker.

#1 Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles

After Braun Strowman's repeated failures against Brock Lesnar, there is no one else left on the Raw roster except the Architect who can be considered as a credible challenger for Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship at the moment.

AJ Styles has been on the SmackDown Live brand for a long time now and has accomplished almost everything on the Blue Brand, so the time may be ideal for him to switch brands. This would open up new possibilities and fresh matchups for the Phenomenal One. He can have wonderful feuds with the likes of Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre on Monday Night Raw.

The biggest possible matchup among them would be a rematch with The Beast Incarnate for the Universal Championship at the Showcase of Immortals next year. This would also enable AJ Styles an opportunity to main event a WrestleMania which could be a marvelous sight to behold.

AJ Styles is one of the most credible performers available on either roster right now so he may indeed be the one to finally dethrone Brock Lesnar and bring the big red belt back to Monday nights for good.
