3 Reasons Stone Cold should confront Becky Lynch on Raw Reunion and 3 he should confront Kevin Owens

Last week, WWE made a big announcement concerning the July 22nd episode of Monday Night Raw, stating that the edition would be a special Raw Reunion show. The past few days have seen WWE announce the return of several legends and Hall of Famers on the show.

As of now, WWE has confirmed that Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and a string of other legends will be coming back on Raw. Austin's return has led to fan speculation regarding a possible confrontation between The Rattlesnake and "The Man", Becky Lynch, after Lynch teased the same months ago. Lynch and Austin had faced off recently during a shoot for Austin's new series. Another batch of fans wants Austin to confront Kevin Owens, who is being pushed by WWE as this generation's Stone Cold.

#3 Why he should confront Lynch: Fans have been clamoring for it for a year now

Last year at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch turned heel on Charlotte Flair and became The Man. Over the course of the next few months, Lynch turned into the most popular Superstar on the WWE roster. On an episode of Raw, Nia Jax's unprotected punch opened up Lynch, immediately garnering her more fan support. This resulted in Lynch becoming the first woman to headline WrestleMania and win a title in the main event of the show.

Ever since Lynch donned this character, fans have been asking for a face-off between Stone Cold and Becky Lynch, and rightfully so. A short segment between these two would be absolute gold.

#2 Becky has herself wanted to share a beer with Austin

Over the course of the past several months, Lynch and Austin have interacted on Titter on various occasions, with Lynch once teasing a face-off with The Rattlesnake. Becky is known for being an absolutely dangerous entity on Twitter, but her tweet addressing Austin was far from it. Based on what she had been hearing from the fans, Lynch stated that the two Superstars needed to have a beer somewhere down the line.

#1 This would result in a big rub, like last year's segment with John Cena

Remember when Becky Lynch teamed up with John Cena on an episode of SmackDown Live last year? After getting a victory, Lynch threw Cena out of the ring, and mocked him when he offered a handshake. The segment garnered a big positive reaction for Lynch, and was one of the highlights of her journey to the top as "The Man".

Imagine the rub she would get, being in the ring with Austin. Of course, she won't do to Austin what she did to Cena, but a quick speech on the mic by Stone Cold would do the trick and help Lynch get more over with the fans.

#3 Why he should confront Kevin Owens: A true passing of the torch moment

It's clear as day here that WWE is pushing Kevin Owens as a modern-day Stone Cold Steve Austin. A recent report confirmed the same, and fans don't seem to have a problem with it. Earlier this year, Austin gave his blessings to Owens when WWE wanted the latter to use the Stunner. Now, Owens has started using the move on a regular basis, and the fans can't get enough of the visual.

A segment involving Austin and Owens, with the duo fending off a couple of villains, would garner a massive pop. Unfortunately, Austin can't wrestle at this point, so the only way for him to give Owens a rub would be by beating down a couple of villains alongside him and then sharing a beer with him, in what could be a "passing of the torch" moment.

This is something WWE shouldn't miss out on, now that we have Austin and Owens on the same show for one night. Let the two Superstars engage in banter, followed by beating up two villains who interrupt them.

The visual of a legit icon like Austin alongside a fan-favorite everyday guy like Owens, with both hitting Stunners on the villains, would be a moment to remember for a long time to come.

One thing these two Superstars share is the fact that both are gold on the mic. Austin's mic-work needs no introduction, while we have seen multiple times what Owens is capable of doing when he is given a stick. Owens' pipe bomb on Shane McMahon a couple of weeks ago received a huge pop. A 2-minute trash talk between these two would not only legitimize Owens as being in league with Austin, but it will also result in a moment for the ages.
