The fans were eagerly waiting for Extreme Rules. Except for the Women's Tag Team Titles, all the belts were defended at Extreme Rules. Some titles changed hands at Wells Fargo Center, including the Universal Title.

The Universal Title was on the line in Mixed Tag Team Match at Extreme Rules. Besides the Universal Title, the RAW Women's Title was also defended in the same match. Rollins lost his cool when Baron Corbin delivered an End of Days to Becky Lynch as the Man was knocked out. The Beastslayer mercilessly attacked Corbin and hit three vicious Stomps to secure a win for his team.

The major surprise came after the match when Brock Lesnar's music hit. Along with Paul Heyman, the Beast entered the ring with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Rollins tried to launch an early attack but he failed this time. Lesnar hit two German Suplexes and an F5 to become the new Universal Champion.

Rollins' Universal Title reign lasted 97 days. Here we discuss three reasons why Brock Lesnar cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase at Extreme Rules.

#3 Brock Lesnar is a big draw

Whether you like it or not, Brock Lesnar means business. The Beast Incarnate is a huge draw of WWE and the company certainly values it. When Lesnar was part of UFC, he was also a colossal draw for the MMA promotion.

Being one of the most decorated athletes of WWE, Lesnar is a big name to boost the ratings. It is no secret that WWE's ratings have been substandard in recent months. Even after the Show of Shows this year, the ratings haven't been impressive. However, Brock Lesnar could change the scenario after winning the most coveted prize of the Red Brand.

#2 To offer a better rivalry with Seth Rollins

It is likely to get better

Seth Rollins has been the primary opponent of Brock Lesnar this year. The feud began after Royal Rumble when Seth Rollins won the Royal Rumble match. Rollins had a choice to pick a World Champion and he chose to challenge Brock Lesnar. In all honesty, the build-up of their WrestleMania match wasn't impressive.

Due to limited appearances of Brock Lesnar, the feud didn't reach the true potential. The Beast assaulted Rollins on the RAW after Royal Rumble but the former didn't show up until a couple of weeks before WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins was also involved in other storylines. Rollins eventually became a Beastslayer and he burnt down the Suplex City.

Since Lesnar is the new Universal Champion, WWE could manage to tell a better story between the two men. After winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, Lesnar appeared on RAW for three consecutive weeks. If Lesnar works on more dates as the Universal Champion, the rivalry could become enthralling.

#1 So Brock Lesnar could have a match at SummerSlam

Lesnar will fight at SummerSlam
Lesnar will fight at SummerSlam

SummerSlam is the biggest show of the summer and it is set to take place next month. Without a shadow of a doubt, SummerSlam is the second biggest pay-per-view after WrestleMania. As a result, we are expected to see some big names at SummerSlam.

The Undertaker was part of Extreme Rules and he is likely to be part of SummerSlam. Considering Goldberg also made his return, recently, it will be interesting to see if he competes at SummerSlam. Since Brock Lesnar won the Universal Title, he is guaranteed to fight at SummerSlam.

Before cashing in at Extreme Rules, Lesnar's last singles match was at the Showcase of Immortals, where he dropped the Universal Title. Although he was part of Money in the Bank Ladder match, he entered the match in the last minute. As the holder of Money in the Bank briefcase, Lesnar didn't get an opportunity to compete, however, it will change after Extreme Rules. Lesnar is expected to face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.
