After the recent episode of RAW, a lot of speculations about the status of Dean Ambrose were thrown in the air. Many wrestling magazines reported that Dean Ambrose was not renewing his contract with WWE and the Lunatic Fringe would depart from the company once his contract expires on April this year.

Even though most fans received the rumors with a pinch of salt, things turned on its head when WWE released an official statement regarding Ambrose's status.

Under the article titled "Dean Ambrose not renewing WWE contract when it expires in April", WWE said: "Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE."

However, it is entirely possible that WWE may be working us into an angle with Dean Ambrose. In this article, we will take a look at a few signs which indicate that Dean Ambrose is not going anywhere soon.

#3 WWE never does it

Let's be honest here. WWE has never released a statement regarding a superstar's potential departure from the company three months before the "possible" incident. Three months is a long time, and WWE has convinced various superstars to stay with them within that timeframe.

WWE's usual modus operandi is releasing a statement after someone was released. The WWE fans often joke about this statement as "future endeavoring" since WWE typically copies the same sentence in every similar comment.

With All Elite Wrestling lurking around in the corners, WWE would be stupid to give up on a star as popular as Dean Ambrose three months before his contract expires.

#2 The new persona

WWE never invests a new persona - especially an interesting one - on a superstar they know would leave in a few months. If you have watched the previous episode of RAW, you might have noticed that the version of Dean Ambrose who came out to the ring and cut the promo was not the same character that we saw a couple of weeks ago. Ambrose looked more passionate in his promo, especially when he was up against Triple H.

According to the reports, Ambrose was unhappy with his character development and on the latest episode of RAW, that was exactly what we witnessed. Ambrose looked like a mature character - quite a huge contrast from his previous gimmicks. WWE may be finally giving Ambrose a role that might suit him - neither a babyface nor a heel.

#1 The "almost" pipebomb and a possible Triple H feud

Before Nia Jax and Tamina interrupted Dean Ambrose, the latter was sitting on a chair with a mic on his hand. Ambrose stated that he wanted to tell the WWE Universe something serious, and began mentioning Vince McMahon and was about to reveal something related to his signing with WWE.

Ambrose then had a confrontation with Jax and was pushed out of the ring. If this segment was a shoot, there is no way that WWE would publish this on their YouTube account. This confrontation was too perfect to be a shoot.

Remember the last time when someone was cut out from his mic when he was mentioning a critical incident with Vince McMahon? CM Punk. Punk cut his famous pipebomb promo in 2011 that garnered massive support from all over the world. WWE could be planning to give Ambrose a similar role.

In the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 35, expect Ambrose to be in a significant role, especially in a feud against Triple H or the Authority. Even Ambrose's confrontation with Triple H was a sign of this.
