3 Superstars who should partner with The Street Profits and 2 who shouldn’t on this week’s RAW

The Street Profits will have to make a difficult decision this week

During the recently concluded WWE Draft, one of the biggest picks RAW made for their revamped Tag Team Division was the team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, famously known as The Street Profits.

The Street Profits were extremely excited to join the Red brand, but The O.C. ruined their party by attacking them backstage. Not only did this ignite a rivalry between the two teams, but it has also given The Street Profits a chance to make a huge in-ring debut on RAW against the team of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and United States Champion AJ Styles.

To even the odds, WWE has allowed The Street Profits to partner with a mystery man to take on the trio. This can spice things up, and give the newcomers an even bigger debut than they could have ever dreamed possible.

The Wild Card Rule is still in effect, so it would logically follow that the The Street Profits select someone from the RAW brand as their partner. In this article, we will look at 3 RAW Superstars who should partner with The Street Profits and 2 who should not.

#1 Should - EC3

This could prove to be a good way to push EC3 heading forward
This could prove to be a good way to push EC3 heading forward

EC3’s move to the main roster has been largely forgettable, as he has not managed to be featured in many televised matches. EC3 was one of the biggest attractions on NXT and needs to get a push in the coming months before fans forget him entirely.

At a time when EC3 seems down and out, the company could use their two newest NXT attractions to push their former colleague and carry a new partnership heading forward.

Although EC3 isn’t currently seen as a big threat on the main roster, and can only be seen on Main Event these days, teaming up with the popular Street Profits could get him much needed exposure. This is especially true with AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson in the mix.

If the company does try to take this partnership forward in the months to come, it would be interesting to see how EC3 can work off some exposure and hopefully grow into a reliable mid-card performer.

#1 Shouldn’t - Cedric Alexander

Alexander has battled The O.C. a number of times in the past
Alexander has battled The O.C. a number of times in the past

The former Cruiserweight Champion has been one of the best and most impressive performers in the company and was one of the cornerstones of the 205 Live roster before moving to the main roster.

While Cedric Alexander was part of the 24/7 Championship drama, it was good to see him become a part of the big leagues after he paired up with Roman Reigns for some weeks. This led to a feud with Drew McIntyre which worked very well for the Superstar and helped him become a regular on the Red brand.

Alexander continued his successful run into the King of the Ring Tournament, but an attack by The O.C. led to an early departure in the quarter finals. In the weeks that followed, Alexander's feud with The O.C. intensified. The former 205 Live star even teamed up with The Viking Raiders to even up the odds against the three men. This resulted in Alexander feuding with United States Championship AJ Styles and although Alexander was able to garner several opportunities at capturing the gold, he ultimately came up short.

There is no doubt that Alexander is a class performer, but it wouldn’t work too well for WWE to bring him back into a rivalry involving The O.C. so soon. Instead, the company can continue booking Alexander in singles matches in order to showcase his abilities, while simultaneously keeping him away from tag teams and factions for some time.

#2 Should - Kevin Owens

The Prizefighter could come for AJ Styles' prize soon
The Prizefighter could come for AJ Styles' prize soon

Even though Kevin Owens does not need to prove himself to anyone, it would be great to re-introduce him to RAW in grand fashion.

This can be done perfectly by allowing him to partner with The Street Profits to take on AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. All three men are top class performers and have all faced 'The Prizefighter' at some point in their careers.

Just like Owens, The Street Profits are exceptional on the mic and the trio can work great if they team up once or for an extended period.

What would capture the attention of many fans is a face-off between Owens and Styles. This could inevitably lead to a fantastic United States Championship storyline that can elevate the mid-card and the title.

Owens is coming off a huge SmackDown feud with Shane McMahon. Owens ended McMahon's in-ring career on the Season Premiere of SmackDown before moving to RAW in the draft. It would be great to see him carry that momentum into a feud with The O.C.

#2 Shouldn’t - Braun Strowman

Strowman has had his fair share of interactions with the members of The O.C.
Strowman has had his fair share of interactions with the members of The O.C.

The former RAW Tag Team Champion has been the weapon of choice for many Superstars who have looked around for a man to even the odds. 'The Monster Among Men' has done an impressive job at joining other Superstars and helping them pick up victories. He has even won two RAW Tag Team Championships in the process.

Although Braun Strowman has experience battling The O.C. collectively, and AJ Styles individually, it would be better to keep him away from this feud, as he builds on his upcoming Crown Jewel match against Tyson Fury.

At Hell in a Cell, Strowman was revealed to be The Viking Raiders’ mystery partner when they took on all three members of The O.C. Thanks to a disqualification, the trio were victorious.

While WWE may be itching to once again add Strowman to the feud in order to show his dominance and power before his big clash with Tyson Fury, it would be best to keep him away from this faction. Strowman has already competed against them a number of times, and there is no good spillover storyline that can come out of it, as Strowman is already engaged in another key feud with Fury.

#3 Should - Aleister Black

Time to push the red-hot Black on the Red brand
Time to push the red-hot Black on the Red brand

Another man who needs no introduction is Aleister Black. The former NXT Champion is one of the finest performers and strikers in wrestling today. It’s time he’s given the respect he deserves on WWE's main roster.

Black was part of the same NXT roster where The Street Profits made their mark, and he could come up to help his former colleagues even up the odds. Black is one of the top competitors on the main roster and has been extremely successful getting over with fans even though he hasn’t had many televised matches yet.

This could be the opening he requires to not only further impress the WWE Universe, but also jump into the United States Championship picture. A feud between Black and AJ Styles would be nothing short of dreamy for many fans, and could also help the company generate ratings and excitement.

Therefore, it would be fantastic if WWE allows Black to join The Street Profits this week. Not only would he get more televised matches as a result, but the spillover effect could see him compete against Styles while The Street Profits continue to do battle with Gallows and Anderson.
