3 Things which could happen on the upcoming episode of RAW (23 September 2019)

Expect The Fiend to continue playing his mind games on Seth Rollins.
Expect The Fiend to continue playing his mind games on Seth Rollins.

The last episode of WWE's Monday Night Raw following the Clash of Champions was truly spectacular.

Be it The Fiend laying waste to Mayor Kane or Braun Strowman destroying the Tag Team Champions of both the brands in the Tag Team Summit, the show was filled with unexpected/surprising moments. Furthermore, Baron Corbin becoming the King of the Ring by defeating Chad Gable in the finals of the tournament was also a major development.

On the other hand, WWE went on to announce two blockbuster matches - Seth Rollins vs The Fiend for the Universal Championship and Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks for the Raw Women's Championship for Hell in a Cell.

All in all, it would not be wrong to say that the show lived to the expectations of fans and WWE and especially Paul Heyman deserves a lot of credit (given it was a Paul Heyman show in the absence of Vince McMahon) for the same.

Given the recent success, WWE would like to continue doing the good work when Raw comes live from Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

With Hell in a Cell just 2 weeks away, expect WWE to continue hyping the event on the upcoming episode of Raw. Furthermore, it may go on to announce a few more clashes for the event this week on Raw and SmackDown.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at 3 interesting things that could happen on the upcoming episode of Raw.

#3 WWE announces Chad Gable vs Baron Corbin for Hell in a Cell

All Hail the King!
All Hail the King!

On the previous edition of Monday Night Raw, Baron Corbin went on to defeat Chad Gable to become the King of the Ring. However, the latter went on to attack and decimate him and his crown during Corbin's coronation ceremony the following night on SmackDown.

Hence, there is no denying the fact that Creative has laid down the breadcrumbs for a high voltage feud between the duo. And given, Hell in a Cell is just two weeks away, expect WWE to announce a huge matchup between the duo this Monday night on Raw for October 6. This would then give Creative around one week's time to hype the bout.

#2 WWE lays down the breadcrumbs for Braun Strowman vs AJ Styles at Hell in a Cell for the US Championship

AJ Styles vs Braun Strowman for the US Championship would be huge.
AJ Styles vs Braun Strowman for the US Championship would be huge.

After the rumored burial of Cedric Alexander, one question which has been reverberating in the minds of WWE fans is - Who is next for AJ Styles?

Braun Strowman. Period.

Strowman faced Styles a few weeks ago on Raw for the US Title only to pick up a win via DQ after an interference from Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. However, The Monster Among Men is not part of any major feud currently. Thus, the chances of WWE reigniting this rivalry by pushing Strowman in the US title picture could be on the cards on the upcoming episode of Raw.

Who knows, WWE could have Strowman show up to take out The OC, laying down the breadcrumbs for a match at Hell in a Cell.

To be honest, there has not been any marquee feud surrounding the US Championship for quite some time now. Nonetheless, it is high time WWE made the Title relevant again and a high-profile feud between Strowman vs Styles would certainly do that.

#1 The Fiend continues to play his mind games with Seth Rollins

This has been truly fascinating.
This has been truly fascinating.

After attacking Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions, The Fiend went on to play his mind games with Seth Rollins the following night on Monday Night Raw.

While Bray Wyatt took out Mayor Kane in the main event of the show, he went on to crawl onto Rollins - staring, taunting and terrorizing him.

Well, expect these mind games of The Eater of Worlds to continue on the upcoming episode of Raw. Given WWE's plan of establishing The Fiend as the new face of fear, Creative could have the former leader of the Wyatt family continue terrorizing the Universal Champion. Wyatt could push The Architect of the Shield to his mental and physical limits and to be honest, it would be quite fascinating to see how Rollins copes up with the same.

Who knows, WWE could even have The Fiend show up in Rollins' locker room or have his puppets following Rollins everywhere to freak him out. Come what may expect The Fiend's reign of terror to reign supreme on the upcoming episode of Raw.
