3 things you missed from AEW Dynamite: Chris Jericho brings up taboo WWE storyline, legend joins commentary team

We're only a few days away from AEW Full Gear. Tonight, the company ran its go-home show from Charlotte, North Carolina. Or as it's better known by the wrestling world, Flair Country!

Cody and his crew looked to get a few last shots against Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle before Saturday, leading to an exciting 11-man brawl at the end of the night. From beginning to end, it was two hours of non-stop entertainment.

However, there may have been some lines, quips and whatnot you may not have noticed or even seen, especially if you weren't in the crowd tonight. Here, we'll take a look at 5 things you may have missed from AEW Dynamite.

#1 An eardrum-shattering pop for Arn Anderson

Never change, Arn
Never change, Arn

Right, we're heading into spoiler territory here. Prior to AEW Dynamite going live, the company filmed one of their matches for AEW Dark. It was a great showing between Big Swole Aerial Monroe and Hikaru Shida.

It was a pretty great way to pump up the crowd, as everyone in attendance was into both competitors. However, what really got them going was the introduction of the Enforcer himself, Arn Anderson at commentary.

As Excalibur and Golden Boy were seated at the table, Justin Roberts revealed that there was just one more member of the crew missing for AEW Dark. Counting himself, that left the fourth man. Holding up the classic Four Horsemen sign, Roberts introduced Arn Anderson.

The crowd hit their feet immediately, as a collective roar swept throughout the building. Clearly, the Enforcer is still one of the most beloved performers out there. If you'd like to hear the Hall of Famer in all is glory, make sure to tune into AEW Dark on the company's official YouTube channel next Tuesday.

#2 A little bit of Katie Vick

It wouldn't be All Elite Wrestling if Le Champion Chris Jericho didn't run down the competition's creative process. Over the past few months, the Painmaker has called out the WWE for terrible storylines and deciding to put "nobodies" up against their incredibly stacked roster.

Tonight was no different. The crowd had been chanting an insult at Jericho prior to the main event match, something that I can't specifically type out for you. Let's just say the first word was "stupid" and the last one rhymed with "Katie Vick."

That was the conclusion that Jericho arrived at, anyway. When the crowd erupted with laughter, he followed up by asking the fans not to blame him, as he had nothing to do with that idea. Just like the "We the People" gimmick, Jericho absolved himself from the issue, letting us know that he'd never be involved in something so idiotic.

#3 A new champion is crowned...sort of

You can never say the AEW crew isn't the giving kind

Following the last bit of taping for AEW Dark, the crowd was treated to free merchandise, courtesy of SCU and Cima. The AEW Tag Team Champions launched shirts into the fans until they'd cleaned out their box.

As the ring slowly filled up with the Young Bucks, Cody, and even Brandon Cutler, the majority of the competitors in the ring had tossed away their shirts, sending more fans home with some exciting, albeit sweaty, souvenirs.

One fan was a bit luckier than the rests, however. The performers noticed that it was the birthday of a young boy in the audience, and decided to do something special for him. Of course, it was at the expense of Brandon Cutler.

Cutler was ordered to lay down, mainly because his record is already terrible, so one more loss couldn't hurt him. The child then pinned Cutler and was crowned by Cody the new AEW Charlotte Champion.
