3 WWE Superstars who could replace Braun Strowman as the face of RAW

RAW might need a new man to lead the roster

Braun Strowman has been trying to hold the spot as the top babyface on WWE Raw for some time now. Even though he was turned heel for just over a month to face-off against Roman Reigns, The Big Dog’s departure quickly led to the creative turning him face once again.

Since Raw was struggling with top-level heels, with Kevin Owens the latest victim of injury, they decided to turn Bobby Lashley heel as well, and now have quite a few top-level heels working on the brand. On the other hand, Raw is only left with Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman as top babyfaces on the brand, with Elias slowly joining them.

The November 19 episode of Raw saw Braun Strowman suffer an injury at the hands of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley. Even though the injury may only be kayfabe, it could result in him missing a few episodes of Raw to build on the storyline.

With that said, Raw is now in dire need of a couple of baby faces, and at least one man at the top to hold things together on Raw with Seth Rollins while he battles his former Shield brother.

Lets take a look at three men who have the potential and the talent to serve as replacements for Braun Strowman as the face of Raw.

#3 Finn Balor

The Universe wants Balor at the top
The Universe wants Balor at the top

One of the most obvious choices is Finn Balor. He is both a crowd favourite, and one of the best wrestlers in the business today.

Even though Balor is a smaller than average wrestler, his underdog persona coupled with his lethal moves has ensured that he’s beaten every wrestler who he has come across. Along with that, he has the heart of a lion, and has taken some extreme bumps to increase the value of matches.

Balor has already feuded with top heels such as Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley for a while, and has also crossed paths with Drew McIntyre on a few occasions, which hasn’t worked out too well for him.

Being an underdog and a crowd favourite could help increase his value as the top babyface, and the former Universal Champion does deserve a push up the roster. This could be his ticket to reach the top.

#2 Lars Sullivan

The Monster has found a new home
The Monster has found a new home

We’ve already been informed that one of NXT’s biggest forces is coming to the main roster. The red brand will play host to the new monster on the block.

It is unclear whether Lars would enter the big league as a face or as a heel, but since Raw is now deprived of top-level faces after the departure of Roman Reigns and a possible injury to Braun Strowman, it can be assumed that he will come in as a face.

With Corbin, Lashley, Lesnar, McIntyre, and Ziggler playing the top level heels on the brand, along with Jinder Mahal in the middle, Lars would get a lot of good competition from the word go.

Even though Lars has not won any championships with the WWE in NXT, or hasn't any prior top level experience, he is still one of the most dominant wrestlers in the business who has only suffered one pinfall loss in NXT, and could be built parallel to Braun Strowman.

#1 Aleister Black

It would be incredible to watch him walk down the ramp on Raw
It would be incredible to watch him walk down the ramp on Raw

He’s the only man who has pinned Lars Sullivan in the NXT, and is one of the best wrestlers around. Aleister Black has proven why he was on top of the NXT, and how he can continue his dominance going forward.

There have been reports that a couple of wrestlers from NXT will be making their way to the main roster. Lars Sullivan has been announced as one, while the other remains anonymous.

If Aleister Black is the second man chosen to move onto the main roster, he should be taken directly to the red brand where there is dire need for a top babyface, with Roman Reigns out with illness, Braun Strowman struggling with injuries, and Seth Rollins the only man holding the brand together.

Aleister Black is a world-class performer, and just like Drew McIntyre, his move to the top of the roster should not take too much time, as he is already a well-established fan favourite wrestler in the WWE.
