3 WWE Superstars who probably attacked Roman Reigns on SmackDown Live

Who was it?

It was a fabulous week for the fans as WWE delivered an exciting episode of SmackDown Live. Since we are just one week away from SummerSlam, the company is leaving no stone unturned to hype the show. Several big matches are set for the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Though some big names are on the card, one notable name is still missing. Roman Reigns, who is undeniably the biggest full-time Superstar of the company, doesn't have an opponent. Interestingly, Reigns closed SmackDown Live this week.

The Big Dog was supposed to announce his SummerSlam opponent on SmackDown, but when he was getting ready to reveal his next opponent, a massive steel structure fell down upon him. Surprisingly, he was unhurt but a strong message was sent.

It is a no-brainer that the mysterious attacker is likely to be the SummerSlam opponent of the former Universal Champion. Here we discuss three WWE Superstars who probably tried to attack Roman Reigns on the Blue Brand this week.

#3 Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns have been at each other's throats. Joe has a big chance to be the unknown attacker of Reigns. The two men tussled on RAW last week when the Big Dog defeated Joe. They were set to have the Samoan Summit this week but it was cancelled after a fight broke out. Joe and Reigns had a brawl as The Usos, Cedric Alexander, Gallows & Anderson also got involved.

Reigns and Joe are not strangers as they have faced each other in the past. Considering the two men are brilliant performers, they always deliver amazing matches. If Joe turns out to be the assailant, the match could get confirmed on RAW or SmackDown Live next week. However, the two men already fought in regular matches, hence, a new stipulation could be added to make the bout exciting.

#2 Buddy Murphy

Buddy Murphy could be a surprising entrant here but the former Cruiserweight Champion was spotted after Roman Reigns was attacked. While Murphy might not be a gigantic name to headline SummerSlam against the Big Dog, the former is immensely talented. Murphy could get an ideal start to his post-Cruiserweight career if he manages to face Roman Reigns.

There is no denying that Murphy is one of the best in-ring performers of Vince McMahon's company. After losing the Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania 35, he was drafted to SmackDown Live. Despite being part of the Blue Brand for the last couple of months, he has not been on TV.

Although Murphy was in the Kick-off show at the Showcase of Immortals, he produced one of the best matches of the event. Both Reigns and Murphy are awesome performers and they could tear the house down at SummerSlam. Considering the two men never crossed paths , it could be a fresh match for the WWE Universe.

#1 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan were the SmackDown Tag Team Champions but they lost the twin belts at Extreme Rules. Though the former WWE Champion was scheduled to make a career-altering announcement, he didn't do it. Meanwhile, he was set to announce it this week but it didn't happen. The announcement never happened and the fans are currently uncertain about his future.

Bryan is a titanic name but he doesn't have a match at SummerSlam. According to a new report, Daniel Bryan could face Roman Reigns at the Biggest Party of the Summer, hence, the former could be the mystery attacker.

Reigns and Bryan crossed paths in the past; when Reigns began his main roster career with The Shield, Bryan faced the Big Dog. Subsequently, they faced off in a few singles matches too. Since Bryan is currently a top heel, the feud could turn out to be exciting. Both men are dexterous in the squared circle and they could steal the show in Toronto.
