4 Blunders WWE must avoid on RAW and SmackDown Live next week (26 & 27 August 2019)

Reigns and Ziggler on RAW this week

We are three weeks away from Clash of Champions, which is the WWE's next big pay-per-view. The company is gradually developing storylines for the show and several feuds progressed on RAW and SmackDown Live this week. Both shows had some stupendous matches this week.

King of the Ring kicked off on RAW this week where two matches took place. Samoa Joe and Cedric Alexander were the winners of their respective King of the Ring matches. Sasha Banks continued to impress as a heel when she viciously attacked Natalya. Though the scheduled US Championship match ended in no contest, Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins beat The OC to win the RAW Tag-Team Titles this week.

The King of the Ring tournament continued on the Blue Brand where Andrade picked up a victory but Kevin Owens suffered a shocking loss against Elias. Buddy Murphy defeated Daniel Bryan, while an unknown man was revealed as the mysterious attacker of Roman Reigns.

Next week, the fans will be expecting to see two action-packed episodes but WWE must avoid some blunders. Here, we discuss four blunders WWE shouldn't make on RAW and SmackDown Live this week.

#4 Roman Reigns shouldn't face a random Superstar on RAW

Roman Reigns' storyline took an interesting turn this week. The fans were eager to see the mysterious attacker of Reigns and it was finally unveiled. Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan presented an unknown man who looked identical to the latter. It will be interesting to see if the unknown man turns out to be the original attacker of Reigns.

Prior to the twist on the Blue Brand, Reigns showed up on RAW this week. The Big Dog faced Dolph Ziggler in a singles match. Although Ziggler managed to deliver a couple of Superkicks to Reigns, the latter picked up a victory. The match didn't make sense as Reigns is involved in a completely different storyline.

If Reigns appears on RAW next week, he shouldn't face a random Superstar as it could divert the attention of the fans. Currently, Reigns' storyline is exciting and the fans are heavily invested in it.

#3 SmackDown Live should not be without a women's match

Things got rough between Bayley and Charlotte
Things got rough between Bayley and Charlotte

This week, SmackDown Live was a great show with some astounding matches but the Blue Brand didn't have a women's match. Although we witnessed several men's matches, the women did not perform. Charlotte Flair and Bayley did, however, have an interesting segment and the SmackDown Women's Championship match was confirmed this week.

The Women's Tag-Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross hosted 'A Moment of Bliss' and the nine-time Women's Champion Charlotte Flair was the special guest. The Queen was beaming with delight after the monumental victory against Trish Stratus. In fact, she went on to declare herself as the greatest woman to grace the ring. The SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley interrupted the segment and they had an intense confrontation. After accepting Charlotte's Challenge, Bayley pushed Charlotte off the chair.

While it was a fierce segment, the fans expect to see the women in action every single week. SmackDown Live has several talented women who could be used well in the squared circle. Since the SmackDown Women's Title match is already set, we will be hoping to see the women in action on Tuesday.

#2 Drew McIntyre shouldn't lose the first Round Match

The Scottish Psychopath
The Scottish Psychopath

Drew McIntyre, who is one of the sixteen participants of the King of the Ring tournament will fight on RAW next week. The Scottish Psychopath will take on the former US Champion Ricochet in the first round of the tournament. Considering McIntyre is one of the prominent Superstars of the Red Brand, he is certainly a favourite candidate to win the tournament.

Kevin Owens was one of the tournament favourites but he lost in the very first round. McIntyre will begin his journey next week and he most certainly shouldn't lose the first-round match. However, he is up against a formidable opponent, who has been enjoying a fruitful run.

There is no doubt that McIntyre has established himself as a top heel of the company since his return last year. The Scottish Psychopath is a dominant force and he has destroyed several big names. The King of the Ring tournament could give McIntyre an excellent opportunity to reach the top of the ladder. The Chosen One has all the attributes to be a World Champion and he could enter the Universal Title picture should he claim the King of the Ring throne at Clash of Champions.

#1 Buddy Murphy shouldn't get attacked in the backstage area (again)

The former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy made his SmackDown Live debut after the Biggest Party of the Summer. Murphy made a sumptuous debut against Roman Reigns last week as they delivered a brilliant match. Despite losing the bout, Murphy certainly made an excellent first impression.

Buddy Murphy faced another big name this week. Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan fought the former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy and the latter picked up his first win on the Blue Brand. It was an extraordinary match as the two men are extremely proficient in the ring. It was a massive victory for Murphy and the company has big plans for the talented Australian Superstar.

Though Murphy appeared strong in the ring, he looked frail in the backstage segments. At first, Murphy was questioned by Reigns in a backstage segment and he was tossed around by the Big Dog. Also, Murphy got assaulted by Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan for two consecutive weeks. Murphy was attacked by Rowan and Bryan after the former Cruiserweight Champion pinned Bryan this week. The continuous backstage assaults shouldn't happen as Murphy's character might appear weak despite his performance in the squared circle.
