4 Decisions That Could Have Saved Roman Reigns

T
The Big Dog deserves more

WWE's quest to push Roman Reigns as the top guy has failed. His loss to Brock Lesnar has proved that the management has ruined Roman's credibility as a main-event performer.

With fans expecting The Big Dog to turn heel, one wonders how Vince McMahon perceives the current Roman Reigns' situation.

Superstars like Braun Strowman, A.J. Styles, Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura have superseded the former WWE Champion in every aspect.

Will the WWE Universe ever give Roman Reigns a second chance? Well, if the creative team did take some intelligent decisions earlier, then the fans wouldn't have been as disappointed as they are today with the Golden Boy of WWE.

Here are the four decisions that could have saved Roman Reigns

#4 If Daniel Bryan had won the 2015 Royal Rumble instead of him

The
The night that killed his momentum

Judging by the looks and talent he possesses, there was no denying that Roman Reigns was destined for greatness.

After breaking Kane's record for most eliminations at Royal Rumble 2014, The Big Dog had all the momentum in the world. However, next year's Royal Rumble in Philadelphia didn't go as the company had perceived it to be.

With the fans expecting Daniel Bryan to win the big event, WWE intentionally trolled their fan base by eliminating the crowd-favorite earlier in the match.

The disappointing elimination was one of the biggest reasons why the WWE Universe turned their back on the Shield's powerhouse performer.

The crowd was so furious at the decision that they booed their hearts out to the point where even The Rock couldn't save his cousin from getting over.

Whether the WWE admits it or not, the WWE Universe hated Vince's decision.

#3 If they never did the 'One Vs. All' storyline

<p>
Vince McMahon probably would regret this one day

If you despised the whole 'One Vs. All' storyline surrounding Roman Reigns and the McMahon's, then you do realize where the problem lies.

While Superstars like Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt had all the momentum needed, the company was busy focusing on turning Roman Reigns into a worldwide sensation.

With the WWE Universe hating him, the Chairman went one step ahead and got himself involved in a feud with Roman.

With the hopes of turning it into something like the Austin-McMahon clash, the fans immediately rejected the idea and got behind guys like Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt.

The One Vs. All match that took place on January 11, 2016, on Raw is perhaps one of the worst matches in the brand's history.

Considering that nobody was able to stand up to Roman Reigns only destroyed the credibility of talented Superstars like Cody Rhodes, The New Day, Kevin Owens, and Alberto Del Rio to say the least.

The only saving grace was Brock Lesnar's blockbuster appearance that got the crowd on their feet. If you ever want to analyze what separates Brock Lesnar from Roman Reigns, you better watch that match again.

#2 If he turned heel and actually retired The Undertaker

Is this really Roman's yard?

The Undertaker is hailed as one of the greatest of all time. The Phenom has a magnetic presence that remains unmatched till today.

However, his recent booking has disappointed a lot of his fans, especially the end of the streak. Brock Lesnar became the ultimate heel when he broke the Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30.

The shocking victory catapulted Brock Lesnar to new heights of superstardom. However, the same did not happen with Roman Reigns.

With a lot of critics and fans expecting the feud to conclude with Roman Reigns turning heel and retiring the Dead Man, WWE ended the bout with another lame finish.

The feud was a make or break for The Big Dog, with fans not investing him at all, it was perhaps the correct time to turn Roman heel.

But the company's decision to stick with the plan completely ruined Roman and was another chapter in the Demolition of Roman Reigns.

#1 If they had aligned him with Paul Heyman

Paul E is a big fan of Roman Reigns

A potential decision that could have changed the landscape of the WWE was Paul Heyman's alliance with Roman Reigns.

The Advocate is a huge fan of the Samoan's ability and has always been open about his respect for the Samoan bloodline.

Paul Heyman was rumored to turn on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 and join forces with Roman Reigns. If WWE did approve this decision, then this would have brought a breath of fresh air on Monday Night Raw.

But the Chairman never even considered aligning his golden boy with the greatest mic worker in the history of this business.

There's no denying that Paul Heyman can turn anything into gold and if he was provided with the opportunity, he could have elevated Roman Reigns to unimaginable heights.
