4 instances when Brock Lesnar struggled on the mic

Brock Lesnar on the mic!
With the mic, does he look intimidating?

Brock Lesnar seems to be the most intimidating person in the WWE; a Beast with no remorse and he vents his anger on anything that he can get his hands on. Be it wrestlers, referees, commentators or even a Cadillac, Brock Lesnar doesn’t hold back his wrath in punishing and breaking his opponents.

His history of accomplishments in the NCAA, UFC and WWE prove that he is a future Hall of Famer with an unbelievable fighting skill set. That being said, Brock Lesnar may not look as intimidating when he has the mic in his hands.

During Lesnar’s previous stint in the WWE, he did the talking himself, literally. This wasn’t a great idea as the WWE Universe was not particularly impressed with his mic skills. There were instances when Lesnar looked emotional, unauthentic and frankly, boring.

Here we take a look at four instances when Brock showcased his horrible mic skills. Thankfully, Paul Heyman does the talking for him now. While we have fun at Brock’s expense momentarily, nothing takes away from the fact that he is one of the best wrestlers of all time.

1. Brock Lesnar pleads to Vince McMahon about a match with Goldberg

Brock Lesnar had many feuds during his first stint at the WWE. His feud with Eddie Guerrero, the Latino Heat, was one to remember. Brock and Eddie were engaged in a battle for the WWE title.

An intense battle turned in favour of Eddie when Goldberg, out of nowhere, speared Brock Lesnar. The vicious spear was enough to keep Brock Lesnar down for the pinfall.

In the video, Brock said that he couldn’t get over the incident and promised to show his wrath on Goldberg if given the opportunity. Brock falls on his knees and pleads with Vince McMahon for this opportunity. The request doesn’t look very authentic as we can’t imagine Brock on his knees when he wants something.

2. Brock Lesnar can’t Handle the “You tapped out” chants

Brock Lesnar does not handle criticism very well, as we see in the video. In an earlier fight, Lesnar tapped out to Benoit’s crossface. When he opened WWE SmackDown, the WWE Universe repeatedly indicated that he ‘tapped’ out.

Not very impressed, Brock Lesnar promised to never tap again. Moreover, he was quick to point out that he could beat the hell out of each and every one of the WWE Universe, which we can’t argue with.

3. Brock Lesnar asks Paul Heyman to say ‘something stupid’

There are very few instances when Brock Lesnar gets overpowered by someone. Quite frankly, we can’t imagine Brock being subdued. However, CM Punk managed to do that quite effectively. When interviewed backstage about the incident, Brock Lesnar barely managed to get sentences out.

In all fairness, Brock Lesnar did manage to turn it around by asking Paul Heyman to say ‘something stupid’.

Maybe it was at this point that WWE figured how to use Paul Heyman effectively. The two of them seem to be the perfect team in many ways.

4. Brock Lesnar screams!

Nope, he is not on the mic but it was impossible to let this one slide. The WWE should not let Brock Lesnar scream. It does not to do justice to the Beast that he is. Often, Brock expresses his triumph with a scream when he beats down an opponent and it is hilariously scary.

Lesnar is an outstanding athlete and a wrestling god. You must be scared when he is angry at you. When he is smiling, however, you ought to be terrified of his plans.
