WWE will be looking to start some fresh feuds now
WWE will be looking to start some fresh feuds now

There were two title changes during the entire Summerslam PPV. Brock Lesnar lost his Universal championship after a memorable reign, and Rowdy Ronda Rousey won her first ever WWE Women's championship. Neither of those fights lived up to the hype, but they still got the WWE Universe into the mix.

There were very few exceptions in the show, especially for the Red Brand side of feuds, but the show was really pleasant for a handful of reasons. The main reason for the success of SummerSlam was the matches from the SmackDown Live division. WWE surely seems much more exciting and possibly, they can benefit from the SummerSlam PPV and use that to present some entertaining storylines for the fans.

Here are four Storylines that WWE should start working on post Summerslam:

#4 Dean Ambrose vs Drew McIntyre

As we all are aware of the fact that the flagship show is still comparatively low on top card heels. Drew McIntyre has been unstoppable since making his return to Raw alongside Dolph Ziggler, and he is unquestionably not the same guy he was as a member of the 3MB. McIntyre might decide to move away from his buddy Dolph Ziggler and become a beast in the race as a singles wrestler.

McIntyre as the vicious heel, Ambrose's as the beloved babyface. And McIntyre destroying Ambrose's recovered arm. This could very well make a good mid-card feud and help move the Chosen One to the title picture.

Dean Ambrose is really over with the crowd and he could help McIntyre become the next big thing. McIntyre looks like a monster and bears himself like an assassin and could understandably go face to face with guys like Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar.

#3 Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship

Kevin Owens is without a doubt, one of the most talented superstars in the entire WWE today. Kevin is a former Universal Champion, he won the title back in 2016. This year, he switched brands as he came back to the flagship show.

However, things did not go down well with him. Kevin Owens lost his SummerSlam match to Braun Strowman. But the good news is that Kevin is good friends with Stephenie McMahon (on TV) who might now grant him a shot to feud with the newly crowd Intercontinental Champion.

He really needs to get back in the big picture to establish himself. He has got mad skills and the WWE creatives should use him to great advantage. This is the ideal time to drag Owens back into the bigger leagues. He is a colossal performer and his incredible work with the mic makes him a possible competitor for the IC title.

#2 Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship

Seth Rollins is momentarily entangled in a feud with Dolph Ziggler, and the two men have battled it out for the Intercontinental title at SummerSlam. Seth Rollins finally overcame the odds and became a two-time IC champion.

Seth Rollins is one of the most consistent performers in the WWE, and fans would enjoy seeing him back in the main event picture. And a feud with his buddy Roman Reigns, for the Universal Championship, is something everyone would love watching.

Considering the fact that both men are part of the shield, a storyline between Rollins and Reigns could be created with comfort.

#1 Randy Orton vs AJ Styles

This is a Storyline which cannot be overlooked in any way, the tables have turned and a motivated Randy Orton could now strike an attack on AJ Styles. The fans have been demanding to see a Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles feud for a long time now. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles does look legit, and that's been obvious ever since Randy brought back the sadistic heel character.

This is a type of feud, that would be a definite classic. Orton has brought back the old sadistic heel and the gimmick has more frames and stories attached to it, and if booked right, then Orton could very well end up being the new WWE Champion.

At the moment, both Superstars are involved in their respective storylines, as Orton is preparing to continue his attacks on Jeff Hardy, meanwhile, AJ Styles is busy fighting Samoa Joe. Acknowledging the fact that the feuds will reach its end somewhere in the future, the next fitting challenger for AJ Styles should be Randy Orton.
