WWE Survivor Series is marketed as the only night of the year where RAW and SmackDown battle for brand supremacy since the brand split. It has been one of the favourite PPVs of the WWE Universe due to its match card and ability to give fantasy match-ups.

However, the WWE Universe always tends to forget the matches which take place on the kick-off show of the PPV. This year, the traditional 10-on-10 tag team elimination match between the tag teams of RAW and SD Live will take place at Survivor Series' kick-off show, a match which even the WWE Creative seemingly doesn't care about.

Here is a list of 4 such matches the WWE Universe may not remember took place on the Survivor Series kick-off show since 2016.

#1 Kane vs Luke Harper, 2016

Luke Harper was a part of The Wyatt Family, but feuded with Randy Orton and Kane in 2016. However, The Viper turned on The Big Red Machine, and joined forces with Wyatt and Harper to dominate SD Live.

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were a part of the SmackDown men's team, and took part in the traditional Survivor Series match. Kane and Luke Harper were left off the main card, but the WWE Creative booked an impromptu match between them on the pre-show.

The two giants clashed in the ring for about 10 minutes, before Kane executed a chokeslam on Luke Harper to keep him down till the count of 3.

The cruiserweight division of Monday Night RAW was on the line at Survivor Series 2016, as the cruiserweight champion Brian Kendrick faced off against SD Live's Kalisto, with a stipulation that if Kalisto wins, the entire cruiserweight division would shift to the blue brand.

However, there was another match featuring the cruiserweights which took place on the kick-off show, but went unnoticed by the fans.

TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Noam Dar clashed with Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak in a 6-man tag team match. The match went on for 11 minutes and 50 seconds before Rich Swann scored a pinfall for his team after executing a 450 splash on Daivari.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were involved in a feud with SmackDown's commissioner Shane McMahon, and so were not allowed to be a part of team SmackDown Live for Survivor Series in 2017.

The duo interfered in the main event of the night and cost team SmackDown Live the 5-on-5 match. However, it was not the first time KO and Sami had made their presence felt at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

They had earlier battled the team of Tyler Breeze and Fandango on the pre-show of Survivor Series 2017, a match which no one remembers. In the tag team match which lasted 7 minutes and 45 seconds, the Canadian duo won the match after the former Universal Champion hit a pop-up powerbomb to Fandango.

The first match of the Survivor Series kick-off show in 2017 was a singles match featuring Matt Hardy and Elias.

The two had developed some differences on RAW, and so were allotted ring time to settle them at the pre-show. Elias and Matt Hardy both weren't a part of team RAW, and so battled against each other in Houston.

Elias dominated Hardy in the match, and after a grueling encounter which lasted over 9 minutes, The Drifter defeated Matt after hitting him with his signature move - Drift Away. While Hardy no longer battles in the ring now, Elias has once again been ignored for the Survivor Series main card in 2018.

Not just Elias, all the superstars who have featured on this list are missing from the match card of WWE Survivor Series scheduled to take place this Sunday.
