4 Twists for WWE RAW: Guest star wins 24/7 title, New #1 contender

We have a huge Fatal-5-way match headlining WWE RAW tonight with the winner moving on to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship next week. Also on the show will be a KOTR final rematch pitting Chad Gable against the newly crowned King of the Ring, Baron Corbin.

There are rumors that Maury Povich could be on tonight's RAW for a paternity test segment involving Mike and Maria Kanellis.

With some great segments already announced, how can WWE surprise us tonight on RAW?

#4 RAW guest star wins 24/7 title

Maury Povich could be on RAW tonight for a paternity test segment

There are reports that suggest Maury Povich will be a guest star on WWE RAW tonight in a paternity test segment to see who the real father of Maria’s baby is. The Maury Show’s Twitter account seemed to confirm that this segment will indeed take place tonight.

With Povich on the show, this could be another chance for WWE to book an interesting 24/7 title segment. Kane won the 24/7 title last week in a great segment and this week could be Maury Povich’s turn. Povich could pin R-Truth for the title before losing it later in the show.

#3 Authors Of Pain make their return

AOP look like they are ready to return

The Authors of Pain appeared in a backstage segment on RAW last week, warning the tag-team division of their impending return. AOP vs Ziggler and Roode looks like a direction WWE could go towards for Hell In A Cell. If that is true, AOP could return tonight and interrupt a tag-team match, laying waste to both teams.

This would give them a memorable return and also send a message to the tag-team division that they mean business. WWE could use this to build their Hell In A Cell title match over the next few weeks, if that is indeed the direction they choose to go.

#2 King Corbin lays down the law

Baron Corbin's coronation ceremony on SmackDown didn't go as planned last week

King Corbin will not be a happy man tonight despite having won the WWE King of the Ring tournament last week. Corbin was set to be coronated on SmackDown Live last week but he decided to call out Chad Gable during the ceremony with disastrous consequences.

Gable was in no mood for the King’s jibes and promptly put Corbin in his place. After shutting Corbin up, he attacked the throne, the scepter and the King’s robe.

Corbin is set to face Gable in singles action tonight. After what happened on SmackDown, Corbin could attack Gable before the bell even rings, to make a statement. It doesn’t look like the feud between the two will end anytime soon and looking at the fact that they have good chemistry in the ring, this could be a storyline that benefits both men.

With some careful booking, WWE could have a star on their hands in Chad Gable.

#1 AJ Styles becomes the next challenger for the Universal Championship

AJ Styles and The OC have been on a roll

The main event of RAW tonight will be a Fatal-5-Way match pitting Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet and Bobby Roode against each other to decide who will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship next week on WWE RAW.

We know that there’s a good chance that Rollins will retain next week and then face Bray Wyatt at Hell In A Cell in October. If this is true, and seeing that Wyatt recently faced Rollins at a Live Event, it means that Rollins will probably retain the Universal Championship next week.

This could be a good chance for WWE to build the Mysterio-Styles feud. AJ could pin Mysterio on RAW tonight with help from Gallows and Anderson. This would then lead to Mysterio coming to Rollins’ aid next week. This would be a great way to build to Styles vs Mysterio for the United States title at Hell In A Cell.
