4 underrated WrestleMania matches

There are a few gems that should've been remembered

WrestleMania will be turning 34 this year. In the thirty-four years, it has been around, it has given us plenty of memories. When we think of great WrestleMania matches, we think of Hogan vs The Rock at WrestleMania 18 or HBK vs The Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary.

Sometimes the mid-card or even the main event has really good matches, but it is usually overshadowed by matches either earlier or later in the show. Some matches that aren't remembered deserve to be.

Some of these matches are as good as the top matches we always remember. Here are 4 underrated WrestleMania Matches.

#4 The New Age Outlaws vs Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie (WrestleMania 14)

An underrated street fight

WrestleMania 14 will be remembered as the night Stone Cold finally became World Champion. But there were other matches to be remembered as well.

This was a fun ten-minute street fight. Carnage everywhere as all four men put on a really good match. The aging Chainsaw Charlie put on a good showing. There were constant dumpster spots.

The spot that we always remember from the match is Chainsaw Charlie falling into a ladder which sent Jack and Billy Gunn into the dumpster. It might be the usual over the top hardcore match, but it's worth watching from beginning to end.

#3 JBL vs Finlay (WrestleMania 24)

A brutal opening contest

That year's event will be remembered for Ric Flair ''retiring'' and one of the best MITB ladder matches. But the opening contest deserves some love as well. Despite how you feel about JBL, you can't deny that he put on a great showing.

The 'Belfast Brawl' had plenty of memorable spots. JBL going through the table and poor Hornswoggle getting a trash can thrown at him. But one spot tops everything else.

Finlay went for a dive out of the ring only to be hit mid-air with a trash can lid by JBL. It was one of the biggest crowd reactions the match got and it was well deserved. It was one of the better openers WWE has ever had and we have seen plenty.

#2 Randy Orton vs CM Punk (WrestleMania 27)

Match of the night

WrestleMania 27 was very disappointing. Some would say Triple H vs The Undertaker saved the show, I don't think so. Orton vs CM Punk saved the show. HHH and The Undertaker's Hell in a Cell the following year was much better.

It's sad the crowd didn't give it the reaction it should've gotten. That could be because fans didn't care or were bored by the event at that point. But this is definitely worth a watch.

The Feud started a few years earlier when Orton would cost Punk the world title by punt kicking him in the head before he could defend it. Punk had a grudge and used it to fuel this rivalry. Sadly, Orton won when Punk should've. I like 'The Viper', but this wasn't his night.

This match started the constant 'RKO Out of Nowhere' finishes that he still does to this day.

#1 Andre the Giant Battle Royal (WrestleMania 30)

Cesaro won which should've set up his main event push

The First and only good Andre the Giant Battle Royal. The first one actually meant something as it was new. Cesaro was the only winner to actually get a push despite what ended up happening.

The match doesn't feel important anymore as it's just another battle royal. Also, an excuse to get the rest of the locker room on the show. He came in as a surprise since he wasn't announced for the match. He wrestled earlier on the pre-show for the Tag Team Championship match.

Memorable spots were Kofi Kingston somehow staying alive. He managed to get his feet on the steps after being tossed over the turnbuckle to the floor. But it's Kingston we are talking about. He's amazing at this stuff. Also, Cesaro picking up The Big Show for the win. The crowd's reaction alone made it very good to watch and was one of Cesaro's best moments in the WWE.
