Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Championship this Saturday at SummerSlam in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 'Head of the Table' has held the coveted championship for over 340 days, and continues his unstoppable run on SmackDown.

The 'Tribal Chief' has successfully defended his gold against superstars such as Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Kevin Owens and even Jey Uso of his own bloodline. With the 'Mad Scientist' by his side in the form of Paul Heyman, we could be seeing plenty more of Reigns as our Universal Champion.

A huge blockbuster match is set for the main event of SummerSlam. That being said, let's take a look at four superstars who could potentially win the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

#4 Baron Corbin could walk away from SummerSlam as the Universal Champion

It couldn't get any worse for the former 'King' right now. Baron Corbin has hit rock bottom, and it doesn't appear things will be heading in the right direction any time soon. Or will it?

After weeks of pleading for financial help from the WWE Universe and from his peers, Corbin hit a brick wall. More recently on SmackDown, Kevin Owens told Corbin it was time for him to stop begging. Owens and Corbin had a match, and if Corbin was to lose he would no longer be able to beg for help. Corbin lost the match, adding further to his woes.

When Corbin entered the backstage area following the match, he saw a massive opportunity and made a snapshot decision. He saw Big E's Money in the Bank briefcase laying on a table, and decided to take his chance and steal the briefcase. Does this mean the former 'Lone Wolf' is now the briefcase holder? Could Corbin potentially cash it in at SummerSlam?

After his immediate decline, things could potentially be looking up for Corbin. If he was to attempt to cash the briefcase in, he would become a World Champion in WWE for the first time ever in his career. From rock bottom, right to the very top in a matter of minutes is possible.

It is certainly possible this could be the direction the former Constable of RAW is heading in, and it would make for a shocking moment at SummerSlam. Then again, knowing Corbin's luck, he may become the only two-time Money in the Bank holder to lose his cash-in opportunities.

#3 Finn Balor could become Universal Champion at SummerSlam

Could Finn Balor really walk out of SummerSlam as the Universal Champion? There's a strong chance, and he has a strong case to be involved.

'The Demon' has been involved with the Universal Championship storyline over the last few weeks. Balor was due to sign the contract to face Reigns at SummerSlam, but was interrupted by Baron Corbin and John Cena. The contract ended up being signed by John Cena.

Let's say Balor wanted some more revenge on Corbin for his actions, for costing him a huge opportunity. Could Balor theoretically take the Money in the Bank briefcase from Corbin? He could rightly cash it in and insert himself into the Universal Championship main event.

Balor could even walk out to the ring and declare that it was his rightful opportunity and John Cena stole it from him by signing the contract. The former 'Prince' made it clear he would have no problem going through John Cena to get what he wants. Either way, Finn has a strong case to be involved with what unfolds at Allegiant Stadium this Saturday.

#2 Big E could walk out of SummerSlam as the Universal Champion

SummerSlam could be E's night to become Universal Champion for the first time in his career. After all, Big E is the rightful holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Since becoming the contract holder, we've only seen him tease holding the briefcase and not really signifying when he intends to cash in.

It may be down to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to get the briefcase back. Once it is back in Big E's possession, what's to say he doesn't want to have it stolen again so decides to cash in at SummerSlam. It would be a momental moment in the career of Big E, and would no doubt send the WWE Universe ballistic in Las Vegas.

Whether the New Day star would want to insert himself into the match or appear following the match remains open. The stats would say that cashing in following the conclusion of a match is the right time to do it. Big E, get ready.

#1 John Cena could leave SummerSlam as the Universal Champion

The SummerSlam main event is upon us. Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against John Cena. What a match it promises to be.

Cena could walk out of SummerSlam as 17-time World Champion, surpassing Ric Flair's record. He would ultimately become the greatest world champion in history. The stage is perfect, in-front of nearly 40,000 fans in Allegiant Stadium.

Cena said he came back to end the reign of Roman Reigns, and he may just do that at SummerSlam. Or it could be a case of Cena returning to put over Reigns and cement his 'Head of the Table' legacy even further. We only have a few short days to find out what will go down at the biggest event of the summer.

Who do you think will walk out as Universal Champion?
