Put on your seatbelts, WWE fans. We are on the Road to WrestleMania.

Pro-wrestling is not just about men and women beating each other up. It's about telling stories and creating moments. There are a lot of writers that work behind the scenes for WWE, who have been criminally underrated for their knack of coming up with great lines over the years.

The sports-entertainment company consistently comes up with memorable lines. Whether it comes out from the vocals of the commentators or the wrestlers themselves, they leave a long-term impression on us, the fans.

The company has had great talkers over the years. These men have given us words that we shall never forget. Here, we present five awesome lines spoken at WrestleMania that still gives us goosebumps.

#5 “The miracle came, the miracle came! It’s a miracle on Bourbon Street!”

Daniel Bryan: The man who made the miracle happen
Daniel Bryan: The man who made the miracle happen

WWE had told one of its most amazing underdog stories with Daniel Bryan on the 'Road to WrestleMania 30'. The Authority had tormented, cheated, harassed, and had done everything to prevent Bryan from reaching the top, because they considered him a “B+” player. So, when at WrestleMania Bryan overcame Triple H in a stellar encounter, and then finally tapped-out Batista in a Triple-threat match, people were moved.

Just the sight of Daniel Bryan holding the championship was one of the best WrestleMania events ever. But, Michael Cole’s words added to the emotions in a really subtle way. He said, “The miracle came, the miracle came! It’s a miracle on Bourbon street.”

While, the whole storyline had been orchestrated for that single moment, it was overwhelming to see Bryan celebrating his Championship win. Though, the outcome to the match was predictable, yet it was a miracle indeed that Daniel Bryan had wrestled and defeated 3 ‘perfect’ WWE superstars who have already had 'Hall of Fame' worthy careers to win the World Championship.

#4 “The Streak… Is over.”

The Undertaker had a 21-match winning street at 'Mania
The Undertaker had a 21-match winning street at 'Mania

Yes, Brock Lesnar is the Beast Incarnate. Yes, he is one of WWE’s greatest ever to step inside the squared-circle. Yes, Paul Heyman’s promos on the Road to WrestleMania 30 had everyone doubting if the inevitable will happen; if Brock Lesnar would conquer The Undertaker’s streak. However, did we actually believe that Undertaker will ever lose at WrestleMania? No.

Then, Brock Lesnar blasted The Undertaker with a 3rd F-5, and seconds later the referee’s hand struck the mat for the third time, without ‘Taker getting his shoulder off the mat. The atmosphere went dead silent. Some people were in disbelief, while others were confused if a botch had been made. Either way, nobody knew how to react.

If not for the internet and the WWE Network, where we can watch these matches over and over again, the only words we could have remembered were Michael Cole’s, after the referee had counted three, who said, “The Streak… is over.”

More than the words, the shock and disbelief of the Undertaker's loss made these words so memorable. Nonetheless, the streak was over that day, and these words became immortal.

#3 “I’m Sorry. I love you.”

Michaels' final superkick to Ric Flair
Michaels' final superkick to Ric Flair

Ric Flair had one of the greatest careers in pro-wrestling history, winning 16 World Championships (as per WWE). The 'Dirtiest player in the Game', as popularly called by wrestling fans, had headlined many wrestling events, sold-out buildings, and put on wrestling’s greatest classics. But, at WrestleMania 24, he had to fight Shawn Michaels to save his career.

The match was everything it needed to be: a storytelling masterpiece. From Michaels’ slap to Flair’s taunts; from the former’s reluctance to hit the Sweet Chin Music to the latter’s desire to walk out proudly, fighting like a man, the entire match hit the right notes. In the closing moments of the match, Shawn Michaels, with emotions visible on his face, said “I’m Sorry. I love you.” Then, he hit Flair with a third, and final, 'Sweet Chin Music' to put curtains on a great career.

Michael’s words and everything that happened there in the next few minutes were surreal, yet heartbreaking. Flair received a standing ovation from the crowd, as he embraced his family at ringside, leaving WWE fans with a bittersweet WrestleMania moment. Michaels' words have since truly become the greatest six-word-story told in a wrestling ring.

#2 “The boyhood dream has come true for Shawn Michaels.”

Dreams come true!
Dreams come true!

Shawn Michaels had to face Bret Hart for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 12. A year earlier, Michaels had been unsuccessful in winning the WWE Championship against Diesel. This time he had to go against the best in an Iron-Man match. With two of the best performers set to go against each other, a spectacle for the ages was on the cards.

The duo didn’t disappoint. From Shawn Michaels’ breathtaking entrance to a stellar fall-less Iron-Man match, it saw everything. In fact, the epic encounter saw unbelievable drama, as the match had to be restarted after an hour (the duration of the match) had passed, so to get a result. And, the result was that Shawn Michaels pinned Bret Hart to win the WWE Championship.

As, the referee handed the title to Shawn Michaels, who was overcome with emotions, Vince McMahon said, “The boyhood dream had come true for Shawn Michaels.” The line and the moment has since become a part of the various WWE promo-packages. And every time we watch Shawn Michaels holding the title and hear these epic words, it feels sweeter than most the best songs could ever be.

#1 “My life is complete now.”

WrestleMania 32: This picture tells us a story of a thousand words.
WrestleMania 32: This picture tells us a story of a thousand words.

Once upon a time in WWE, there had fought three wrestlers whose names were Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. In 2016, all of the three men had long passed their wrestling days. Then, they did movies, shows, interviews, sometimes also coming back to the WWE, wowing fans.

However, one day, WWE announced that Hulk Hogan was going to be the host of their biggest show ‘WrestleMania’. Excitement filled wrestling fans. They could hardly wait for ‘the Immortal’ walking the WrestleMania ramp again. Finally, the day came, and Hogan walked to the ring at the ‘Super-Dome,’ brother. Minutes into Hogan’s promo, Steve Austin’s music hit, and fans went berserk. Was it one of the greatest ‘Mania moments yet? ‘Hell yeah.’

Then, the Great One arrived. It was a moment for the ages. The Rock, Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan ring in the same ring at the same time. They could’ve just stood there, and it’d have still been an epic start to WrestleMania 30. But, it only helped that three terrific talkers electrified everyone who watched the show.

It was the perfect WrestleMania rewind, and every long-time fan would have had some of the most epic stories come alive. Emotions would’ve flowed, and as JBL said, what you would have probably said, “My life is complete now.”
