Vince McMahon is a tough man to impress

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is always in the news for one reason or another, despite hardly ever appearing as an on-screen character these days. Throughout WWE history, Superstars have shared their interactions with McMahon. He has truly stood the test of time and continues to run all the major shows even at the age of 75.

One thing we know from all the stories we've heard, Vince McMahon is a tough man to impress. He expects all his Superstars to give their all and anything less than that, he doesn't shy away if he wasn't happy with it. Yet, McMahon makes sure to encourage them as well.

In this article, let's take a look at five pieces of backstage footage where Vince McMahon is praising WWE Superstars. Be sure to let us know your favorite among these in the comments section below.

#5 Vince McMahon praises Becky Lynch

WrestleMania 35 was a monumental show in many ways. One of the reasons was the epic "Winner Takes All" triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey for the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championship.

It was the first time WrestleMania was main evented by women and deservingly so. The ending of the match saw the coronation of Lynch as the first woman to hold both women's titles at the same time.

During a WWE Network documentary on Lynch, we saw footage of an amazing backstage moment between her and Vince McMahon after the show. As seen in the video above, McMahon playfully interrupted her video, which led to a funny conversation between them both.

Lynch has been one of the biggest Superstars for WWE in the last couple of years and Vince McMahon would surely be proud of what she has achieved. She is currently out of action as she is pregnant with her fiance and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins. It remains to be seen when and if we will see her back in WWE.

#4 Vince McMahon praises The Undertaker

The Undertaker is considered by many to be the greatest creation of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. A lot of credit goes to the man behind the character, Mark Callaway too, who has made sure the gimmick stood the test of time and became as legendary as it has been.

During WWE Network's docuseries "Undertaker: The Last Ride", fans got to see the amazing bond that the Phenom and Vince McMahon share. The Undertaker had huge praise for his boss, whom he considered to be his friend as well as a father figure.

The Undertaker even went on to claim that he would take a bullet for Vince. One of the moments that sticks out was when McMahon was asked how much 'Taker meant to him, to which he got so emotional and couldn't talk.

We also saw this above footage of The Undertaker and Vince McMahon at WWE Extreme Rules 2019, where the Phenom tells Vince that he is done. The WWE Chairman went on to assure him that he had a great match. The respect between the two is further seen when McMahon tells him "Mark, I will follow your lead."

#3 Vince McMahon praises Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy has been in the wrestling business for nearly three decades now and can still impress Vince McMahon with his in-ring work. After being out for months due to injury, Hardy returned to WWE earlier this year. He then started a feud with Sheamus, where the latter brought some personal incidents from Hardy's life into the storyline.

The two took on each other at Backlash, but Hardy lost. However, as seen in the video clip above from a WWE Chronicles episode, he was heavily praised after his match by Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon.

“F****** great, man! Thank you." - Bruce Prichard.

“That was f****** awesome, holy shit." - Vince McMahon.

Jeff Hardy ultimately defeated Sheamus in a Bar Fight and ended the feud. On the SmackDown before SummerSlam, Hardy defeated AJ Styles to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. With the return of Sami Zayn to action, the IC title scene will revolve around the three of them and it remains to be seen how long Jeff is champion.

#2 Vince McMahon praises his son Shane McMahon

The relationship between Vince McMahon and his son Shane McMahon has been very interesting. As we know, Vince is very strict when it comes to business and doesn't shy away from bringing his personal life into storylines to amplify the impact and drama.

Shane-o-mac made his thunderous return to WWE in 2016 and confronted his father, Vince McMahon to give him the control of RAW, in a segment also involving Stephanie McMahon. To this, "the evil father" went on to put Shane in a massive "Hell in a Cell" match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. The stipulation was that if Shane won, he would gain the power to run RAW.

At WrestleMania 32, one of the biggest moments during their match came when Shane climbed to the top of the Cell. He then jumped through the announcer's table to a thunderous reaction from the fans.

As seen in the above video posted by WWE.com, Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon shared a very emotional moment after the match, which showed how much it meant. You can be the Chairman of WWE, but it would still not be easy to see your son jump from the top of a Cell like that.

#1 Vince McMahon praises Dominik Mysterio

In what was the most recent incident on the list, Vince McMahon had some huge praise for the debuting Dominik Mysterio after his match at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

Son of the legendary Rey Mysterio, Dominik had been on WWE TV for over a year accompanying his father. After things got intense between Mysterio and the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins, Dominik finally started getting involved physically.

This ultimately led to his in-ring debut against Rollins in a Street Fight at SummerSlam. While Dominik was unable to defeat the former WWE Universal Champion, he managed to impress everyone with his skills and performance at the PPV.

In the clip above from "WWE: The Day Of SummerSlam 2020", Vince McMahon can be seen praising the young Mysterio after his match.

"Very few people can get that kind of reaction whenever they're in the ring. No matter how long they've been in the business. So, you should be very, very proud of yourself."

These words from Vince McMahon would've surely encouraged Dominik, who is looking set to be a prominent part of Monday Night RAW and WWE moving forward.
