Exactly a year ago, Becky Lynch started a movement. She declared herself 'The Man' and since then, it's been her year through and through.

Be it taking on the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet' Ronda Rousey, taking part in the main event of WrestleMania, becoming a Double Women's Champion, Lynch has truly done it all. She has been part of some of the best matches in the year and has become the face of the company. She was even on the cover of the WWE 2K20 video game, sharing that treasured spot with 'The Big Dog' Roman Reigns.

In this article, we are going to take a look back at the five best matches of Becky Lynch this past year since she became 'The Man' in WWE.

#5 WrestleMania 35: Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey (c) vs Charlotte Flair (c) [Winner take all]

Yes, WrestleMania 35 is the first match on my list when talking about Becky Lynch's best matches in the past year. Surprised? Shouldn't it be higher up the list?

After all, this was where Becky Lynch achieved two great things together. She pinned Ronda Rousey (albeit, not properly), and became a Double Champion, holding both the RAW and the SmackDown Championships.

Well, it could easily have been higher up the list, if not for the fact that the match went on at the end of the night at WrestleMania where the crowd was worn out. The lack of crowd interaction and the myriad botches make it the least of the five matches on the list.

However, the significance of Lynch's achievements is enough to guarantee that this match is mentioned in any list that discusses The Man's most significant matches in her life. It was also the first time that a women's match was headlining WrestleMania.

The pinfall was one that could easily be disputed as Ronda's shoulders were not really on the mat, and there were one or two questionable spots early on.

#4 SummerSlam 2019: Becky Lynch (c) vs Natalya [Submission Match]

An impressive match featuring Becky Lynch often gets overlooked. It is her match against Natalya at SummerSlam 2019. The expectations were low. Although Natalya is recognized to be a well-rounded talented veteran in WWE, the fans have never been too excited about anything to do with her.

Natalya proved that they were completely wrong.

Facing Becky Lynch, the 'Queen of Harts' showed exactly what she could do, as the pair put on quite the show. Their rivalry was extremely intense and their match at the event was a show-stealer.

Natalya and Becky both had their submission moves at the fore, with Natalya's patented Hart Sharpshooter and Becky's Dis-Arm-Her. Even those who were not invested in the buildup for the match, quickly changed their tune when the match started.

Unique spots, like the Sharpshooter against the ring post, added fervor to the match, showing how much it meant to both competitors.

Eventually, Becky won the match and retained her title.

#3 Hell in a Cell 2019: Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch (c) [Hell in a Cell match]

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch met at Clash of Champions and produced quite a good match. However, that was nothing compared to the match the two of them had when they battled again at Hell in a Cell, 2019.

The pay-per-view event saw the two women open the night in a Hell in a Cell match. Banks had previous experience in the structure and it showed, as she decimated Becky using well-thought-out moves that saw her use the cell to her benefit.

The battle took place outside the cell in the beginning. The match stole the show that night again, with the highly anticipated Seth Rollins vs The Fiend ending controversially. There were plenty of interesting spots throughout the match, with tables, chairs, and ladders all coming into play.

Becky hit Sasha with a Dropkick while 'The Boss' was propped up on the chair which was hanging from the cell. Later in the match, she also put Becky through a table with a metora and used a Kendo Stick to try and lock in the Bank Statement with it.

In the end, it was the Bexploder on top of a pile of chairs by Becky, followed by a submission that saw her walk away with the win.

#2 Royal Rumble 2019: Becky Lynch vs Asuka (c)

Another match often overlooked for what happened later in the night is Becky Lynch's match with Asuka at this year's Royal Rumble. This match showcased exactly what the WWE Universe has been missing from the Empress.

This year, it seems that Becky Lynch has been able to direct more attention towards each Superstar that she has faced, and Asuka is no exception.

Against Natalya, Lynch's offense was more submission-based. She changed it for her match against Sasha Banks, where her offense was more spot-based. However, facing Asuka, she changed it up again to the technical offensive style to match that of her opponent's.

The match had plenty of submission spots, but it was extremely aggressive as well, almost like an all-out brawl between the two women.

When it came to an end, Becky had tapped out. Despite that, 'The Man' would soon go on to win the Women's Royal Rumble to set up the match that would create history at WrestleMania 35.

Evolution 2018: Becky Lynch (c) vs Charlotte [Last Woman Standing match]

Thus we arrive at the match of the year for Becky Lynch. For a long time, Lynch had been pegged as one of the best women talents on the roster, as well as being a part of the Four Horsewomen. However, there was more to the story there.

Somehow, she was never the one in the spotlight. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and even Bayley were the ones who were the focus of booking, leaving Lynch to make up on her own.

But this match was the one that showcased what Becky Lynch could do in the ring. It was also the first-ever Last Woman Standing match on WWE's main roster. The match was the best of the night, with both women taking an insane amount of punishment.

Becky had some amount of credibility earlier, but after winning this match, she solidified her spot as 'The Man' at the top of the Women's division in WWE, -- a division that had Ronda Rousey in it.

Charlotte Flair might not have won, but she looked amazing in the match as well. The spot where Lynch hit a leg drop from the top of a ladder through an announce table remained one of the best of the night.

Becky eventually won the match via a Powerbomb through a table from the apron.
