5 Biggest mistakes WWE must not make at Survivor Series 2019

WWE must avoid these blunders at Survivor Series

Survivor Series is almost upon us, and boy, what an exciting show it's going to be! For the first time ever, Superstars from RAW, SmackDown and NXT will collide in the battle for brand supremacy.

Three of WWE's biggest prizes will also be on the line, as Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Championship against Rey Mysterio, The Fiend will defend his Universal Title against Daniel Bryan and Adam Cole will defend his NXT Championship against the winner of the triple threat match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

This year's Survivor Series could turn out to be the best PPV of the year, as a lot of interesting matches are scheduled to take place at the event. However, WWE is notorious for their odd booking decisions that leave fans disappointed.

In order for Survivor Series to be an interesting and memorable show, here are five big mistakes WWE must avoid making at the PPV.

#5 Brock Lesnar vs Rey Mysterio headlining the show

This Sunday, Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar's feud could come to an end after their clash for the WWE Championship in a No Holds Barred match. The feud initially started when Lesnar attacked Mysterio and his son Dominik on the season premiere of RAW.

The Beast successfully defended his title against Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel, and if he loses to Mysterio, it will be very shocking. This will be a short match, as we have seen with Brock Lesnar's previous matches.

Survivor Series is all about brand supremacy, so it'll make sense for a RAW vs SmackDown vs NXT match to close the show. According to Sportskeeda's own Tom Colohue, the women's triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Bayley and Shayna Baszler could be the main event.

All three of these women are on the top of their respective brands, so it makes sense for them to close the show. Also, they are capable of putting on a decent match. Brock vs Rey, on the other hand, will be a squash match, so it's not the best option to headline Survivor Series.

#4 Daniel Bryan winning the Universal Championship

The 'New' Daniel Bryan will challenge 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship at Survivor Series, and the former could walk out of the match with the title in his possession. The Fiend has never lost a match in WWE and he's been booked to look very strong.

He defeated Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel to capture the title, moving it to SmackDown. Daniel Bryan is a five-time world champion, and at Survivor Series, he could do the unthinkable by defeating Bray Wyatt to become the new Universal Champion.

It's still too early for The Fiend to lose a match, and the title recently changed hands, so Bryan winning the title at this stage might not be the best idea.

#3 NXT getting buried by RAW and SmackDown

If NXT loses too many matches or all the matches, the brand will be severely affected
If NXT loses too many matches or all the matches, the brand will be severely affected

Superstars from NXT will collide with stars from the Red and Blue brand for the first time ever. Since NXT is WWE's third brand, there's a possibility that the Superstars from the Black and Gold brand will eat all the pinfalls, or they will win the least number of matches.

This could be done to protect RAW and SmackDown so that both brands come out looking strong. At last year's Survivor Series event, RAW absolutely buried SmackDown, clean sweeping the Blue brand in all six inter-brand matches on the main card.

This year, unfortunately, could be NXT's turn. NXT has a lot of great stars, so it will be a huge mistake if they suffer too many losses or get buried by WWE's main shows.

#2 RAW winning the brand supremacy

This must not happen again
This must not happen again

As we previously mentioned, RAW buried SmackDown last year in the battle for brand supremacy. If the Red brand scores the most wins and comes out the victorious brand again, then the WWE Universe will not be very happy.

After moving to FOX, SmackDown replaced RAW as WWE's flagship show, so it'll make sense for the Blue brand to take home the win this year.

However, the brand that will benefit the most from the win is NXT. This will put more eyes on the Black & Gold brand and NXT's Superstars will come out looking like stars. RAW had its moment last year, so this year, it's time for another brand to prevail in this battle for bragging rights.

#1 The red light during 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt's match

The red light needs to go

Since Hell in a Cell, 'The Friend' Bray Wyatt has been wrestling under an ominous red light. This came after he attacked a returning Kane on an episode of RAW since the Demon used the red lighting during his early run in WWE.

A lot of people are not in favor of red lighting, because it makes it difficult to see. While it makes The Fiend look like something out of this world, it also makes it hard for fans to see what's going on in his matches.

If WWE uses the red lighting again at Survivor Series, it will turn a lot of the fans off. The Fiend's match with Finn Balor at SummerSlam didn't feature any red lighting, and the match was perfect. The light might be important for Bray Wyatt's character, but the fans would rather see it go.
