Last week's SmackDown was an average watch for wrestling fans. It was a strange one, to say the least, and the WWE Universe found it difficult to decipher what to make of it. This week's episode comes live from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This week's show will be the last before TLC and three SmackDown matches have already been announced for the pay-per-view. Those are - Roman Reigns vs Baron Corbin, The New Day vs The Revival for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, and Bray Wyatt vs The Miz.
Before moving forward, let's take a look at the important things that happened last week and then get into what we can expect this week. The Miz suffered a Sister Abigail at the hands of Bray Wyatt from the Firefly Fun House, not The Fiend. It will be interesting to see how the 'A-Lister' reacts this week.
Bayley and Sasha Banks got their revenge, as both heels laid out Lacey Evans. In the main event, Roman Reigns was humiliated by Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin, as 'The Big Dog' was handcuffed and had dog food poured all over him.
With all that in mind, let's take a look at the five biggest things we could see on this week's Friday Night SmackDown.
#5 Lacey Evans gets some much-needed support from Carmella
Last week on SmackDown, Sasha Banks made it personal in her feud with Lacey Evans by bringing Lacey's daughter into the conversation. 'The Boss' and Bayley annihilated Lacey last week and knowing WWE, they may want to give Evans some back-up.
That's where Carmella comes into the picture. She hasn't been getting much screen time lately and she could prove to be a brilliant backup for Lacey. As of right now, Bayley and Banks have the numbers advantage, but that might not be for long.
#4 Sheamus makes his in-ring return, faces Mustafa Ali
After two video packages hyping up his return, it might be time for Sheamus to make his official in-ring return this week. The best way to go about his new rebel gimmick would be to issue an open challenge to the SmackDown locker room.
We could then see Mustafa Ali step up and take that opportunity. It would be another great experience for the young Ali against a seasoned Superstar like 'The Celtic Warrior.' Also, this would be the perfect way to reintroduce Sheamus to the WWE Universe.
#3 The Revival attacks The New Day, Heavy Machinery comes to the rescue
Last week, The Revival became the new number 1 contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Their match against The New Day is scheduled to happen at TLC and therefore, to build towards this match, we could very well see a segment between the two tag teams.
We could see the heels attack the faces, only for Heavy Machinery to make the save as the duo have formed somewhat of a friendship with The New Day. This segment could go a long way in building toward a rematch between The Revival and The New Day, as well as introducing Heavy Mahinery into the fray.
#2 Alexa Bliss confronts Bayley backstage
Whatever your opinion is on Lacey Evans being the next challenger for the SmackDown Women's Championship, one thing everyone can agree upon is the fact that it's just a matter of time before Alexa Bliss enters the title picture.
We could see the same this week. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross could confront Bayley and Sasha Banks backstage, in a segment where Bliss keeps on staring at the SmackDown Women's Championship.
A face Bliss vs heel Bayley could very well happen at Royal Rumble.
#1 Bray Wyatt brings a dummy of Maryse to the Firefly Fun House
Last week, Bray Wyatt made it personal against The Miz after the sadistic Universal Champion brought The Mizanin Family into their rivalry. It was also the first time we saw Wyatt and not The Fiend involved in a wrestling encounter since Wyatt returned to television after WrestleMania 35.
This feud has been interesting so far and it could get more heated this week. We could see another Firefly Fun House episode from Wyatt where he brings The Miz's family into the debate once again.
Wyatt could very well introduce a new toy, named after The Miz's wife Maryse, that could look exactly like her. This segment could make The Miz snap and take his frustrations out on Bray Wyatt before their upcoming match at TLC.
