SummerSlam is now just a week away and WWE is set to present their final build-up to the Biggest Party of the Summer in the coming days. AEW presents All Out in just under a month's time on August 31st, whilst also preparing for their first live television episode on TNT on October 2nd.

It's an exciting time to be a wrestling fan with so much competition from NJPW all the way through to WWE, but that doesn't mean that the biggest wrestling company in the world isn't feeling the strain.

The past week has been an interesting one when it comes to botches on WWE TV and here are some of the best ones that we thought were worth reliving.

#5. Roman Reigns gets taken out backstage

Roman Reigns wasn't featured heavily this week on SmackDown Live as he continues to push towards a match with Samoa Joe at SummerSlam, but he was about to make a challenge for next Sunday's show when he was shockingly attacked backstage before his interview with Kayla Braxton.

Reigns was the victim of an assault that saw much of the backstage set fall down on him, the only issue was that the camera frames that were used were too choreographed and when WWE put the video of the attack online, men can be seen pushing the boxes onto Reigns after the set has already fallen.

It was a good way to set up a feud that is now rumored to see Reigns face Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam, but much like the Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley destruction of the set, it was a little bit too much. Vince McMahon needs to hang back on the theatrics and focus more on building the feud progressively.

#4. The match that never was

One of the biggest botches of the week; last week saw Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville discussing the fact that they would be given a match next week. Rose informed her tag team partner that she had given Shane McMahon some gossip in exchange for a match which Deville then assumed was a Women's Tag Team Championship match.

Interestingly, Rose then responded with, "yes and if we win that we will deserve a Women's Tag Team Championship match." Of course, neither of these matches went ahead on SmackDown Live, instead, it was a tag team match between Bayley, Ember Moon, Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss that made it to air after a number of changes to the original script.

It was later revealed that the match didn't take place because Billie Kay had "puppy fever" and a multi-team match is now expected at SummerSlam.

#3. Rey Mysterio's roll up botch

Rey Mysterio drew the short straw in the gauntlet match this week where the winner would go on to challenge AJ Styles for the United States Championship at SummerSlam next weekend. Mysterio was able to overcome the threat of Cesaro before Sami Zayn attempted to run out and attack Mysterio whilst he was distracted.

Zayn's plan obviously didn't work out since Mysterio sidestepped the Helluva Kick and was able to roll Zayn up quite quickly. The pin sequence that the two men obviously planned out didn't work, but Mysterio was able to maintain his composure and come up with another way to quickly pin Zayn and remove him from the matchup.

Mysterio was unable to last all the way through the match since he was later defeated by Andrade, who went on to unmask him in a shocking shock of disrespect.

#2. Jey Uso dropped his mic!

The Usos have been hitting the headlines this week for all the wrong reasons since Jimmy Uso was arrested just days after John Cena made a reference about the duo's very public record with the police on live TV.

Many members of the WWE Universe believed that The Usos would be kept off WWE TV following Jimmy's second arrest this year, but instead, they were included in a match on Monday Night Raw and it was Jey Uso who made the huge mistake.

Enroute to the ring the Usos usually always back and forth on the mic's before shouting "Welcome to The Uso Penitentiary" in unison, this time around, Jey Uso got a little bit too excited and dropped his mic before the line, which meant that his brother was forced to shout the line alone with much less effect.

#1. Seth Rollins can be seen taking a blood capsule

Seth Rollins takes on Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam next weekend in the hopes that he can reclaim his Universal Championship, but this week on Raw he wanted to send a message to Dolph Ziggler since the former World Champion disrespected his friend Shawn Michaels.

Rollins wasn't prepared for the fact that Brock Lesnar was in town and he came out and brutally attacked the former champion to the point where he was stretchered out of the building. Lesnar continued the assault backstage and left Rollins bloodied and broken from an F5 onto a stretcher.

Many fans were concerned that Rollins had suffered internal injuries because of how bloodied his mouth was, but eagle-eyed viewers picked up on the fact that Rollins popped a blood capsule before the final F5 in the ring.
