5 directions for The Undertaker's role at Raw 25

Th
The Deadman will rise again

The first episode of WWE Raw was taped on January 11, 1993, and was aired live on the USA Network from the Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center Studios. The episode included tons of superstars who went on to become legends, but none of them are as popular and loyal to the company than The Undertaker. The Deadman defeated Damien Demento on the first episode of Raw and is still considered one of the greatest things that ever happened to the company.

There's no argument in the fact that there can be no 25th Anniversary without 'The Phenom', who led the locker room and made WWE the global phenomenon it is today. The Deadman has given his heart and soul to the business and remains the most prestigious Superstar that ever graced the squared circle.

His WrestleMania streak played a prominent role in defining his monumental legacy but, unfortunately, 'all good things come to an end'. The Deadman is advertised to appear on January 22, 2018, and would be definitely booked to have a prominent role on the show. Here are the five directions for the Undertaker's role at Raw 25:

#5 Announces his retirement

Will the Phenom finally hang up his boots?

The Undertaker, with his terrifying gimmick, has entertained the WWE Universe for more than two decades and still continues to command great fanfare from them every time that gong hits to signal his arrival. His unique WrestleMania streak has solidified him as the greatest of all time.

However, the streak came to an unfortunate end when The Deadman lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30, and another disappointing loss to Roman Reigns last year was considered as his final ride.

There has been no confirmation up until now about The Undertaker's role at the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw but since WWE billed the match with "The Big Dog" to be his last, there could be a possibility that The Deadman may announce his retirement and hang up his boots.

It would be miserable to see a character that has entertained us for a quarter of a century bid farewell to the WWE but, unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Expect an incredible ovation for The Deadman if it happens, with a chorus of 'Thank You, Taker' chants.

#4 The Deadman seeks redemption

Will the Undertaker reclaim his yard?

From a booking standpoint, this encounter makes a lot of sense. Reigns not only defeated The Undertaker last year at WrestleMania but also claimed his right on The Deadman's yard. 'The Big Dog' was vehemently booed the night after he defeated 'The Phenom' in what is considered the loudest negative reaction in WWE history.

The segment ended with Reigns addressing the WWE Universe that he had claimed the yard that once was The Undertaker's playground.

Ever since then, he has gone on record to address this accomplishment and, has become the top guy in the company. While the fans expect The Deadman to confront another major Superstar, it would make sense for The Undertaker to seek redemption on The Guy, and completely decimate him.

Well, there's no denying that WWE is doing everything in their power to push Reigns to the moon, but let's be honest, he will never be The Undertaker. He is scheduled to face 'the A-Lister' The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship on the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw and, it could be possible that The Deadman will get his payback in one way or the other from the Samoan during the match.

#3 Unites with Kane to decimate Braun Strowman

The B
The Brothers of Destruction will unite to decimate a Monster

'The Brothers of Destruction' is regarded as one of the most dominant factions in wrestling history. They teamed up to face the Wyatt Family at Survivor Series 2015 on the 25th Anniversary of The Phenom's debut. The dominating duo defeated the Wyatt's and put Strowman through the table.

Braun Strowman then went on to become a dominant monster on Monday Night Raw by annihilating his opponents on regular basis.

'The Monster Among Men' is now tied up in a feud with Brock Lesnar and Kane which is likely to culminate at the Royal Rumble with Raw's biggest prize up for grabs. Since, Kane and Strowman have been feuding lately, it makes sense for The Undertaker to unite with his half-brother and take out the Monster.

A Strowman-Undertaker match was originally scheduled to happen at Wrestle Mania 32 but Braun's lack of connect with the audience led Vince to think otherwise. But, 'The Monster Among Men' has significantly improved between the ropes and is now a fan favorite considering his monstrous persona.

WWE could book The Deadman and Kane together to take out Strowman which would unite two of the most dominant performers of the Attitude Era for probably the last time.

#2 Enters the Royal Rumble

The Deadman could announce his entry to the Royal Rumble

Well, this may not be a definite possibility but anything can happen in the WWE. The Undertaker made a huge appearance at the Royal Rumble but was disappointingly eliminated by 'The Big Dog'. The elimination was met with a chorus of boos, considering how poorly The Deadman's role was booked.

The Undertaker will grace the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw and with the fans expecting The Deadman to stay for one last ride at the Super Dome, it could be possible that the 52-year-old could announce his entry in the prestigious Royal Rumble match.

An announcement of this stature is possible and would definitely entice the fans who love to see The Deadman perform at the Royal Rumble. Expect a bone-chilling reception to The Phenom's announcement which could come as a shock to the legions of his fans all over the world.

#1 Confronted by John Cena

This is destined to happen

Imagine a possibility where The Deadman is in the middle of his retirement speech and is interrupted by the '16-time World Champion' to a phenomenal response. The confrontation of these two legends could alone steal the spotlight and bring the roof off the place, considering how special this feud could be.

There have been rumors swirling around of a possible match at WrestleMania between these two legends at the Super Dome this year. Since WWE will try to make the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw a memorable occasion, it makes sense for them to push the envelope on a dream confrontation between The Deadman and 'Big Match' John.

Well, this is a match that the world wants to see and it seems like a definite possibility this year, and what better way to kick-start a monumental feud than by having these two come face to face on the 25th Anniversary in Brooklyn, NY.

There could be a scenario where the 'Face that Runs the Place' could interrupt 'The Phenom' and challenge him for one final match at The Show of Shows. This confrontation would not only set the tone for WrestleMania but would also be a landmark moment to see two of the best lock horns.
