Tommaso Ciampa's appearance on Raw has opened the door for plenty of compelling matchups in the future.

Tommaso Ciampa has become a stalwart on the WWE NXT brand, but lately, he has been flirting with a main roster call-up. The former two-time NXT Champion appeared on the February 14th episode of RAW. He followed that up with a victory over The Dirty Dawgs along with Finn Balor in tag team action on the February 21st edition.

Ciampa has excellent in-ring skills and is a splendid talker in his own right. As versatile and seasoned a performer as Ciampa is, a litany of superstars on the main roster can more than match him. His possible call-up holds a ton of potential because of that.

Dolph Ziggler has the honor of being Ciampa's first rival, but he may be just the beginning. NXT 2.0 is focused on building younger talent for the future, and as much as Ciampa can assist with this youth movement, he has what it takes to be a top star on RAW or SmackDown. In this article, let's take a look at five dream matches for Tommaso Ciampa on WWE's main roster.

5) Tommaso Ciampa vs. Drew McIntyre

Several stars on RAW and SmackDown have crossed paths with Tommaso Ciampa. Whether on NXT or the independent scene, he has created magic with few competitors. One of those competitors is Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre was released from WWE in 2014 and went across the indies to improve his skills. Ciampa and McIntyre clashed in Beyond Wrestling and could bring this showdown to WWE. The Scottish Warrior has evolved since that meeting five years ago and should offer an intense matchup for the latest NXT call-up.

Despite his previous run in WWE, McIntyre chose to start back on NXT to kick off his second run with the company. He went on to win the NXT Championship at TakeOver: Brooklyn III. However, Ciampa never went one-on-one with McIntyre during that time. With more experience behind both men, they should deliver a classic together.

4) Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kevin Owens

Another WWE Superstar who has a history with Tommaso Ciampa is Kevin Owens. The two men clashed on the independent scene and became friends.

Years later, they fought on the same side at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2019 when Owens returned to NXT to join Team Ciampa in victory over the Undisputed Era.

Owens is also a former NXT Champion and arguably had the most impactful one. The Prizefighter was the first top heel for the babyfaces to overcome during the black-and-gold era for the brand. Owens and Ciampa are both known for their hard-hitting styles and have all the makings of a blistering battle.

3) Tommaso Ciampa vs. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is unquestionably the top superstar in WWE. The longest-reigning Universal Champion in history has held the gold for 540+ days.

Heading into his sixth WrestleMania main event in a historic Winner Takes All Match against Brock Lesnar, WWE will have to look at the roster and figure out who to position against Reigns after the Show of Shows.

Ciampa wouldn't be a bad idea at all. He presents a fresh opponent for Reigns and could provide a unique obstacle to overcome. He is relentless, determined, and will never quit. Those qualities work superbly with the way Roman loves to wear down his opposition. The storytelling could be off the charts with these two involved.

2) Tommaso Ciampa vs. AJ Styles

Tommaso Ciampa would be hard-pressed to find a better opponent on RAW or SmackDown than AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One is easily among the most decorated competitors in WWE and has pretty much held every title. He remains one of their most reliable performers and offers a compelling feud for Ciampa.

The two men have spent extensive time on the independent scene yet never went one-on-one. Styles recently feuded with NXT's Grayson Waller and felt more like a star on the Tuesday show than on Monday night.

This is all despite Styles being a former two-time WWE Champion. Facing Ciampa in a series of bangers may be what AJ needs to reinvent himself.

1) Tommaso Ciampa vs. Seth Rollins

As one of the most consistent in-ring workers in WWE, Seth Rollins is often called upon to be a highlight inside the squared circle regardless of his opponent. The former two-time Universal Champion has delivered great matches and has even developed an intriguing heel character that often entertains.

A showdown between Ciampa and Rollins has what it takes to be remarkable. Their styles seem like a perfect match. Both men can go in the ring and are captivating characters that can invest the fans in a feud.

This is the kind of rivalry both superstars would love to sink their teeth into on many levels. That's why Seth Rollins is the best dream opponent for Tommaso Ciampa on WWE's main roster.
