5 feuds for Randy Orton after WWE WrestleMania 37

After his victory over The Fiend at WrestleMania 37, who could Randy Orton face off against next on Monday Night RAW?
After his victory over The Fiend at WrestleMania 37, who could Randy Orton face off against next on Monday Night RAW?

WWE WrestleMania 37 Night Two kicked off with the highly anticipated showdown between "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton.

In a relatively short encounter, The Viper was able to defeat The Fiend after Bray Wyatt was distracted by Alexa Bliss, who had seemingly turned on her FireFly Fun House partner.

This distraction allowed Randy Orton to hit The Fiend with an RKO and steal a victory on the grandest stage of them all. The match between Orton and Wyatt looks to be the final match in their lengthy feud on WWE television.

With The Fiend and Alexa Bliss firmly in the rear-view mirror of The Apex Predator, one has to wonder who Randy Orton will be feuding with next on Monday Night RAW.

From former rivals to first-time opponents, let's take a closer look at five feuds for Randy Orton after WrestleMania 37 on Monday Night RAW.

#5 Former WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe

Could the samoan submission machine be set for a WWE in-ring return soon?
Could the samoan submission machine be set for a WWE in-ring return soon?

The post-WrestleMania 37 edition of Monday Night RAW saw a significant shake up in the RAW commentary booth. Former lead play-by-play commentator Tom Phillips has been replaced by former ESPN broadcaster Adnan Virk. SmackDown commentator Corey Graves replaced Samoa Joe as a color commentator/analyst for Monday Night RAW.

This has led many within the WWE Universe to speculate that Samoa Joe could be nearing a WWE in-ring return in the near future. During the official press release announcing the changes to the red brand's broadcast booth, WWE was quick to point out that Samoa Joe remains a member of the WWE talent roster:

"Samoa Joe remains part of the WWE talent roster"

When asked about his in-ring future in the past, Samoa Joe has been quick to point out that he is not retired from in-ring competition and does indeed plan on returning to a WWE ring in the future. Could the time for the former United States Champion's return be soon upon us?

If Samoa Joe does indeed make his return to in-ring action soon, a high-profile opponent such as Randy Orton would be the perfect name for the Samoan Submission Machine to make an impact against on Monday Night RAW.

#4 Former WWE NXT North American Champion Damian Priest

WWE WrestleMania 37 Night One saw Damian Priest team with rap sensation Bad Bunny to defeat The Miz and John Morrison in a spectacular tag team match.

The Grammy and Billboard Award-winning rapper wowed the WWE Universe with his incredibly impressive performance, pinning The Miz to gain the victory for himself and Damian Priest on the grandest stage of them all.

However, now that WrestleMania 37 has come and gone, Bad Bunny is no longer on WWE television with The Archer of Infamy. Bad Bunny is now focusing on his music and upcoming 2022 tour, leaving Damian Priest alone on Monday Night RAW.

Since moving from WWE NXT to Monday Night RAW earlier this year, Damian Priest has been incredibly impressive on the red brand. It would certainly appear that bright things are on the horizon for the former NXT North American Champion.

After his feud with The Miz and John Morrison has wrapped up on Monday Night RAW, perhaps Damian Priest could turn his attention to Randy Orton. A feud with a former 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion could firmly establish Damian Priest as a major player on Monday Night RAW and set up The Archer of Infamy for big things on Monday nights.

#3 Former WWE NXT Champion Keith Lee

Former WWE NXT Champion Keith Lee has not been seen on WWE television for the last several months. The Limitless One was previously scheduled to face off against Bobby Lashley and Riddle for the WWE United States Championship in a triple threat match

However, Keith Lee was pulled from the match and the pay-per-view at the last minute, resulting in John Morrison replacing him. Whilst the exact reason has been disclosed, it has been reported that Keith Lee is dealing with some issue that is preventing him from being cleared by the WWE medical team.

Hopefully the former NXT North American Champion will be cleared in the near future, resulting in his return to Monday Night RAW. Should Keith Lee return to RAW soon, perhaps a feud against Randy Orton could be in the cards.

Keith Lee does own a previous victory over The Viper inside of a WWE ring. Shortly after he made his main roster debut in the summer of 2020, Keith Lee defeated The Apex Predator in quick and decisive fashion at the WWE Payback pay-per-view. A storyline in which Randy Orton looks to avenge this loss against Lee could serve as some incredibly interesting television and could lead to some fantastic matches coming out of WrestleMania.

#2 Former WWE United States Champion Riddle

WWE WrestleMania 37 Night Two saw Riddle lose the WWE United States Championship to Sheamus.

In an incredibly physical and stiff match, The Celtic Warrior was able to seal the victory after countering Riddle's springboard moonsault into a devastating Brogue Kick to become the United States Champion for the third time in his WWE career.

Without the United States Championship around his waist, many are wondering what's next for Riddle on Monday Night RAW. This past week saw Riddle face off against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley on RAW. However, it didn't end smoothly for the Original Bro as The All Mighty WWE Champion dominated the former United States Champion.

Nevertheless, it is apparent that WWE officials are high on the Riddle character. Several reports have suggested that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard find the Riddle character hysterical, despite not fully understanding him.

Considering that Riddle seemingly has the support of the WWE Chairman and Executive Director of RAW and SmackDown, The Original Bro could become a major player on the red brand in the near future. This could lead to feuds against major Monday Night RAW Superstars such as Randy Orton.

#1 Former WWE Universal Championship Braun Strowman

The Monster Among Men successfully defeated Shane McMahon in a Steel Cage match at WrestleMania 37 Night One

WWE WrestleMania 37 Night One saw Braun Strowman finally silence recent rival Shane McMahon. The Monster Among Men destroyed Shane O'Mac during a Steel Cage match, launching McMahon off the 15-foot high structure in the process and sending the former SmackDown Commissioner crashing to the canvas.

After his feud with Shane McMahon culminated, Braun Strowman turned his attention towards the WWE Championship this past week on RAW. The Monster Among Men faced off against Randy Orton and former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender to Bobby Lashley's WWE Championship to close the show.

Randy Orton seemingly had the match won after hitting the RKO on Braun Strowman. However, Drew McIntyre appeared out of nowhere and struck The Viper with a huge Claymore Kick to seal the victory and become Bobby Lashley's challenger at WrestleMania Backlash.

A feud between Randy Orton and Braun Strowman could easily spin off out of this match on RAW. Randy Orton can claim that he had Braun Strowman beaten after hitting the RKO, while Strowman can claim that it was Randy Orton who ultimately was pinned by Drew McIntyre to lose the match.

Randy Orton and Braun Strowman haven't had a lengthy feud on WWE television in recent history. Therefore a series of matches between the two could be incredibly compelling to watch.
