5 Forgotten Superstars who would be absolutely perfect for Bray Wyatt's new faction

Run!
Run!

Bray Wyatt has been the talk of the town ever since his 'Firefly Funhouse' segments started airing on RAW. As if those weren't enough to capture the fancy of the WWE Universe, he reinvented himself as 'The Fiend' - a character whose eeriness could be compared to that of The Undertaker of the early '90s.

Recent reports have indicated that Wyatt will be competing for the Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell. While The Fiend is more than capable of taking care of himself, Wyatt has always excelled as the leader of a faction.

It would be rather interesting if WWE decides to give Wyatt some partners in crime which will only solidify him as a cult leader. Let us take a look at the 5 best fits for a possible 'New Wyatt Family':

#5 Luke Harper

Luke Harper was one of the most underrated Superstars on the roster - but this was way back when he was used somewhat regularly. Harper started his WWE career as part of the first incarnation of the Wyatt family along with Rowan and Bray Wyatt.

While Harper could never really leave Wyatt's shadow while part of the faction, he did not make much of a mark during his singles run either - although he did have a rather forgettable reign as the Intercontinental Champion on one occasion.

Harper had requested his release from WWE via Twitter which reportedly did not go down well with the management. Not only was his release denied but Harper has not been seen in action since.

It is quite likely that Harper will leave WWE once his contract is up, but the best way to utilize this monster would be by giving back his original role to him - that of Bray Wyatt's most loyal henchman.

#4 and #3 The Ascension

Do you remember Konnor and Viktor?

I didn't either. Luckily, Gary Cassidy of SportsKeeda gave them a shoutout that jogged my memory. The two went on from being one of the most dominant teams in NXT to a backstage comic relief team to be completely absent from RAW or SmackDown.

While The Fiend is enough threat on his own, what is a great supervillain without a few minions to carry out orders. The Ascension, I feel, would not only be perfect for that but their entire look would go well with Wyatt's current gimmick as well.

#2 Eric Young

There are a lot of performers over the years who have played the character of a completely 'bonkers' fellow, but rarely has anyone portrayed it better than Eric Young. Shooting to fame during his time in Impact Wrestling, Young finally joined WWE a few years back.

While his faction in NXT called Sanity did fairly well, the stable was broken up on the main roster and while Young was retained on the main roster, WWE has failed to utilize him at all.

Young could join the Bray Wyatt as a cult follower who would be willing to carry out all of The Fiend's instructions in abid to emulate Wyatt himself.

#1 Matt Hardy

Not only is Hardy a veteran inside the ring, but the man is one of the most talented minds when it comes to the world of pro-wrestling.

Much like Wyatt has managed to re-invent himself and give new lease of life to his career, Matt Hardy did something very similar when he debuted the 'broken' gimmick in Impact Wrestling. Matt Hardy had become one of the biggest sensations in the world of pro-wrestling but is far from it as of now.

Unfortunately, WWE has never seen him as a singles wrestler and most of his run in the company has been as a tag team player. With his partner Jeff Hardy out of action, Matt Hardy has been on the sidelines for far too long and a reunion with his former tag team partner Bray Wyatt could be exactly what The Deleter Of Worlds may be looking for.

In a recent chat with TalkSPORT, Matt Hardy admitted that he wouldn't mind a reunion with Bray Wyatt:

I would not say no to that. I am a big fan of Bray and we’re good friends on a personal level. I am a big fan of his work, I am a big fan of his creative thought process and he’s excellent at what he does. I hope he gets the proper opportunity with all this because I think it is gonna be a grand slam.
