For many, a job in the WWE is the be all and end all of all career paths. The dreams that many of becoming a WWE Superstar that many have while growing up were always epic and awe-inspiring. But for some, life in the WWE isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Some get to the land of the immortals and feel out of place amongst Superstars. Life on the road and in front of the camera isn't for everyone. Many a Superstar has joined the WWE and then left for well.....browner pastures. Here are 5 WWE Superstars that had unusual jobs after they left the wacky world of wrestling.

#5 Scotty 2Hotty: Realtor/Medicine Technician

Surely you all remember Scotty 2 Hotty?

The guy performed in the WWE for around 10 years, which is more than most. After a decade of performing in the big leagues of the WWE, Scotty made his way to the Indy scene for a brief run. But Scotty has always had the look of a man destined for greater things. He quit wrestling and decided to move on with his life in a completely new direction.

Scotty took himself to Lake Tech Fire Academy in Florida and graduated in 2013. After becoming a professional emergency medical technician, Scotty decided to once again broaden his horizons. He now works as a Realtor in Florida, facilitating the movement of new homeowners.

#4 Shawn Stasiak: Motivational Speaker

Remember Shawn Stasiak aka the loving servant of Pretty Mean Sisters? No? Don't blame you. Stasiak was a pretty forgettable in the ring and an irrelevant character on TV. His name in the ring was 'MEAT' and he was used as a pawn to entice female viewers.

Unfortunately for Stasiak, like any Vince Russo creation, his existence was short-lived. Shawn's WWE career was ended when he was caught secretly recording backstage conversations with co-workers. He then switched lanes to WCW but inevitably had to come back when Vince bought out the company.

In his second spell in WWE, he was a psychotic character that talked to himself. His persona didn't go down well with the fans and he became a lower card jobber. He was subsequently released a few months later. Stasiak now works as a motivational speaker and chiropractor. Nice to see him continue his crazy WWE storyline into real life.

#3 Maven Huffman: Club Bouncer

After having one of the most impactful starts to a career in WWE history, Maven Huffman is now the furthest thing from what many expected him to be. Many will remember Maven as the rookie wrestler that eliminated the Undertaker from the 2002 Royal Rumble. Maven was also the first ever winner of the inaugural Tough Enough season.

He was given the platform and clearly possessed all the tools but unfortunately, he fell short of stardom and drifted away from the limelight. Huffman was released from the WWE in 2005 and found his way to reality television.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the former rookie was arrested in 2012 for 'doctor shopping'. It's reported that Maven went around to several pharmacies and falsely obtained thousands of painkillers.

He was then admitted to a rehab program sponsored by the WWE. As of 2013, Maven was seen to be working as a bouncer in a New York nightclub.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

#2 Ivory: Animal Daycare Owner

Ivory was a 3-time WWF Women’s Champion

For an accomplished diva that worked with the likes of the Fabulous Moolah, Tori and Mark Henry, it's a pity Ivory didn't leave a greater legacy in WWE. When the Attitude Era passed and female competitors started to get more of a spotlight, Ivory's importance started to fade.

She felt she didn't fit in with the direction/appearance of the new breed of girl, so she took a more reserved role. She began to train up the next generation, helping girls like Lita and Trish improve their in-ring skills. She continued this mentorship role as she became a trainer on Tough Enough.

However, in 2005, the WWE didn't see the need to renew her contract and she was subsequently released. The former Women's Champion now owns her own animal daycare & grooming business, which she opened in 2007. She and her staff look after dogs and cats on a daily basis.

#1 Ken Shamrock: 50 Cent's Bodyguard

In perhaps one of the strangest turns of a career path, former Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock became the bodyguard of American rapper, 50 Cent. As of 2015, Ken Shamrock confirmed he was employed by a security company that provides protection for several high-profile names.

Perhaps on the face of it, a former UFC Champion becoming a bodyguard isn't the absurdest of things. But the sheer fact that Shamrock main evented several UFC PPVs and made the amount of money he did, it's surprising to see him back in full-time employment.

Many would have expected the 52-year old to make a WWE return instead. With the Royal Rumble happening this Sunday and Shamrock's current job status unknown could we see the Most Dangerous Man in Sports back in his comfort zone.
