Roman Reigns is one superstar who needs no introduction in the world of wrestling today. He is both loved and hated by an equal number of wrestling fans around the world.

However, most of the hate is stemmed from the booking decisions of the WWE creatives and the chairman of the WWE rather than his own wrestling skills.

Skill-wise, there is little doubt that he is one of WWE’s better wrestlers. Along with that, he is one of the few men with incredible explosive power in the ring, and stamina to last long and extremely physical bouts in the ring.

He has shown time and time again why he is referred to as The Big Dog and has the strength to take on any superstar in WWE’s current roster.

While all of WWE’s fights are performed in kayfabe, it’s a fact that the men performing in the ring require actual power and strength to perform the moves they have to near perfection and ensure they don’t injure themselves and their fellow wrestlers in the process.

Let’s take a look at 5 of the most incredible displays of strength by Roman Reigns in the WWE, and let you decide if he is indeed one of the most powerful men in the WWE roster today.

Roman Reigns has faced many large opponents in his career and managed to come out on top time and time again.

However, he faced one of his biggest threats in the Strongest Man in the World. Mark Henry is no ordinary wrestler, and along with being large, he is also extremely strong and dangerous.

Barely one or two wrestlers in the WWE can match his strength, which has been showcased by the company on many occasions.

The 6’4” 340-pound Mark Henry faced Roman Reigns on many occasions between 2014-2015. In that time, both superstars got a chance to display their skills and strength.

Roman Reigns Superman Punched the large man and even speared him on many occasions. However, the most impressive move was to watch The Big Dog Samoan Drop the 340-pound man with each on multiple occasions.

On an episode of SmackDown in 2015, we even saw him spear The World’s Strongest Man through the barricades, with is surely a clear indication on the strength the man possesses.

At 286-pounds, Brock Lesnar is WWE’s most ferocious wrestler. No wrestler, not even the biggest and most skilled, want to be written into a script with Brock Lesnar.

He’s destroyed many wrestlers in the ring, including John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, and even Roman Reigns.

However, unlike most other wrestlers, Roman Reigns has been able to provide some resistance and attack to The Beast while getting beaten down by him.

At The Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, we saw Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar go head to head for the Universal Championship.

While Roman Reigns suffered a lot of Suplexes and F5s in the bout, he still had the strength to powerbomb Lesnar after catching him on the top turnbuckle.

To end the match, Reigns delivered a thunderous spear to Lesnar, which ended up breaking a portion of the steel structure and depositing both the wrestlers outside onto the floor, ending the match in a controversial manner.

Currently, there is no one larger than The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman on WWE Raw. The only man between him and the WWE Universal Championship is Roman Reigns.

However, the two men have had notable feuds in the past too where they’ve been on a mission to destroy each other.

While Braun Strowman is an unstoppable force in the WWE, who has ripped many apart with his sheer power, Roman Reigns has also gotten a chance to demonstrate his own power against the biggest man on Raw.

Braun Strowman stands at 6’8” and weighs 385-pounds, and we’ve only seen a few men such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Big Show lift him off his feet.

Roman Reigns is one of those few men who has achieved this feat and managed to lift the big man off his feet on a number of occasions to deliver his signature Samoan Drop.

On Fastlane 2017 Roman Reigns also managed to defeat the big man via pinfall for the first time ever, a major feat which has only been achieved by very few superstars till now as Braun Strowman usually loses his matches due to count-outs or disqualifications.

#2 Biggest Samoan Drop

Big Show is the largest athlete the WWE Universe has seen in the past three decades. He is not just tall, but extremely heavy too. That makes him one of the most feared wrestlers in the business.

Even though he’s past his prime, Big Show still manages to put on some incredible matches, and feuds with the top stars of the company to give them a boost in their careers.

When Roman Reigns and Big Show came face to face, the WWE Universe knew they were in for another memorable rivalry.

The two men were involved in a brutal Last Man Standing match that saw both the wrestlers go through immense amounts of pain and torture to determine a winner.

Roman Reigns showed off his strength during this match, where he not only speared the big man on a number of occasions, he did so through the barricades and even the announce table.

Reigns even delivered a 500-pound Samoan Drop onto the wooden table and threw the big man off the top turnbuckle onto the mat in the ring. Even though Reigns went on to win the match after burying Big Show under an announce table, the match was a display of sheer strength and power by both the men.

#1 One Arm Powerbomb

Sheamus is one mean and physical wrestler who has feuded with the best in the business and won multiple championships in the process.

Weighing 267-pounds, Sheamus is extremely powerful himself and can take the fight to any wrestler he wants to. He and Roman Reigns have crossed paths on a few occasions, and each time it has been more physical than before.

One of the most outrageous moments from their clashes was when Roman Reigns lifted the Irish superstar with one arm to deliver the One Arm Sitout Powerbomb, as Mr. McMahon looked on in awe as the Special Guest Referee.

While Reigns uses that move very often on lighter superstars, like Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Dolph Ziggler, applying the same move to a man of Sheamus’ size is purely incredible.

Reigns have been a top favorite of the WWE premiers, and therefore they love it when the Big Dog displays his strength and power to surprise the wrestling world.
