The Royal Rumble is less than three weeks away, and we can’t help but speculate about numerous matches and scenarios for the event.

Royal Rumble events are always exciting, as we get to see 30 superstars from both the men’s and women's division have their separate matches to determine the number one contender for a top championship of their choice.

The matches are packed with superstars from all three brands, and even some former stars show up to increase the hype around the match and the event.

Last year, two Japanese superstars won their respective Royal Rumble matches, and we saw Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka get their chances at the WWE and Smackdown Women's Championships at WrestleMania 34, which both went on to lose.

Apart from the Royal Rumble matches, both the top titles of the men’s and women’s division will be on the line and we could see a couple of new champions at the end of the night.

With such an action-packed card, we can’t help but make some out-of-the-box predictions for the event which could come true and make the event more memorable.

So read ahead and check out 5 ipredictions for the Royal Rumble 2019.

#5 Seth Rollins will be the Iron Man

the Iron Man

It is no secret that Seth Rollins is indeed the Iron Man in WWE. The man can perform in match after matchon the same night without showing any signs of fatigue and can endure a great amount of punishment.

This is exactly what is required in a superstar during the Royal Rumble match, which is a test of endurance and skills.

Rollins has a reputation of being the Iron Man, and he can prove yet again that he is one in the Royal Rumble match. Rollins lasted only 19 minutes in the 2018 edition of the match and was eliminated by Roman Reigns to end his run.

Since he doesn’t hold the Intercontinental Championship anymore and has been verbally attacking Brock Lesnar on Raw to hint towards a Universal Championship match against The Beast in the future, we could see him enter early and last until almost the end of the match to keep the fans’ hopes alive.

#4 R-Truth will lose his No. 30 spot

R-Truth's spot at No. 30 could be under threat

R-Truth earned the Number 30 spot in the Royal Rumble match after winning the Mixed Match Challenge along with Carmella.

It seems a bit odd that WWE would give away the Number 30 entrant away so early, as it is one of the most awaited spots in the match. Therefore, it is possible that Truth will lose his spot in the match to someone.

This could either happen if Daniel Bryan attacks him once again and injures him, leaving him unable to compete in the match, or a more likely scenario could be someone attacking him before he enters to take his place in the match.

There are a few men who could do that, but none are more likely to do it than Lars Sullivan, who has not yet gotten a place in the Royal Rumble. If that remains the case until the event, then expect him to use his heelish tactics to get into the match.

If Lars doesn’t take Truth’s place, we could see a returning superstar take the spot to surprise the fans to increase the Royal Rumble match’s hype.

#3 Finn Balor will win the Men’s Royal Rumble match

Could Finn Balor earn his championship match at Royal Rumble?

There are many names floating around the internet for potential winners of the men’s Royal Rumble match this year.

However, no superstar deserves to win it more the Finn Balor, who had largely been overlooked over the past year.

Balor has not won any championships since his single day Universal Championship reign and has since only received a single Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns.

Other than that, he has been performing well regularly and should get the recognition and the chance he deserves to become a champion for the company once again.

If he does win the men’s Royal Rumble match, expect Balor to move to SmackDown to become Daniel Bryan’s next challenger for the WWE Championship which he could surely take off Bryan.

A move from Raw to SmackDown will do The Demon King a world of good and therefore it would be the perfect way for him to switch brands too.

#2 Becky Lynch will win the Championship and cause an interference

Becky Lynch won the number one contender’s spot for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which she lost to Asuka at TLC 2018.

Lynch’s loss was heavily influenced by Ronda Rousey’s interference which helped the Japanese superstar win her first main roster championship.

Becky Lynch has already mocked Asuka for decreasing the value of the championship which Lynch had greatly increased, and will do everything in her power to win back what’s hers.

If Lynch does go on to win the championship, she could try to run interference in Ronda Rousey’s match against Sasha Banks to make her lose her Raw Women’s Championship in revenge.

This would be a perfect way for Lynch to exact revenge from the woman who broke her championship reign and could result in a really big storyline going forward.

#1 Ronda Rousey will enter the Royal Rumble match

Ronda Rousey could be pointing at the WrestleMania sign once again at the end of the Royal Rumble
Ronda Rousey could be pointing at the WrestleMania sign once again at the end of the Royal Rumble

The biggest and craziest predictions we’re making is that Ronda Rousey could enter her first Royal Rumble match.

The women’s Royal Rumble match main-evented the Royal Rumble PPV last year, and could very well do so again since the women’s division is on a surge.

If that’s the case, then Ronda Rousey could debut in her first Royal Rumble match after losing her Raw Women’s Championship in the scenario mentioned in the previous prediction.

She would do this purely to win it against all odds by eliminating Charlotte Flair last and straight away challenging Becky Lynch for her championship match at WrestleMania 35.

Since Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey’s rivalry has been extremely heated and unorthodox, a match between the two set up in such a scenario could be the talk of the town until WrestleMania 35, where it could main-event the pay-per-view.
