Then Michaels would earn the chance to be escorted by Pamela Anderson for his WrestleMania XI main event against WWF Champion Diesel. But the underdog story didn’t have a happy ending as Michaels fell for Diesel after interference by his own bodyguard Sid. The Rock

The Rock

The WWE fans witnessed one of the most confusing and twisty storylines unfold in 2000. The Rock and Big Show were the final two participants of that year’s Royal Rumble and in a controversial manner Rock was declared as the winner. Meanwhile, reigning champion Triple H defeated Cactus Jack to retain his title in the same event.

But due to the controversial manner of Rock’s win, Big Show went on to feud with him saying that his feet touched the floor first which meant the giant was the winner. Show would also provide much evidence to prove his claim and force the Rock to put his title shot on the line at various occasions.

At No Way Out, Big Show would win the title shot but lose it later after The Rock was helped by Vince McMahon. At this point the match was made a triple threat match. But the twist in the tale came when Linda McMahon came and announced that the match would be a fatal four way elimination match involving Cactus Jack also, who lost again to Triple H at No Way Out.

As the fatal four way match started, Big Show and Mick Foley were the ones to be eliminated first which left The Rock and Triple H to fight it out for the title. Vince McMahon then interfered in the match hitting Rock twice with a steel chair and thus giving Triple H the win. But the Rock would have revenge after the match as he gave a Rock Bottom to Vince, Shane, and Stephanie McMahon. So much twists, turns and action, this is why the fans love the Attitude Era.
