WWE Crown Jewel 2019 concluded on a high note with The Fiend winning the Universal Championship. Now that it’s over, we are headed towards Survivor Series which will see NXT competing against RAW and SmackDown for the first time.

NXT has already taken the first shot at SmackDown. In the coming weeks, we will finally get to know how the other two brands will retaliate.

In the meantime, there are several feuds that are brewing in the locker room. Some of them became more clear at Crown Jewel and are expected to turn into extended rivalries on the weekly shows.

In this list, we take a look at five potential feuds that can transpire after Crown Jewel.

#5 The New Day vs The Revival

Xavier Woods and Big E lost their SmackDown Tag Team Championships to The Revival at Clash of Champions, 2019. Now that Woods is out for almost nine months, owing to his leg injury, he will be replaced by Kofi Kingston.

Kingston and Big E represented The New Day at Crown Jewel and had a decent run in the largest Tag Team Turmoil match featured on the PPV. They even managed to eliminate the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions from the match. However, The Revival were not yet done with their arch-rivals.

Despite being eliminated from the match, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder stayed back in the ring and brutalized Kingston and Big E. This allowed The OC to almsot immediately eliminate the former Tag Team Champions.

During the show, it was announced that The New Day will square off against The Revival at SmackDown. Unfortunately, the return of these Superstars from Saudi Arabia was delayed and now this match will be moved to next Friday.

It will be interesting to see how The New Day will respond to the attack laid down by The Revival and hopefully, the two teams will engage in an interesting title bout.

#4 Heavy Machinery vs Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler

Heavy Machinery have recieved a decent push ever since they made their main roster debut. The only drawback of their main roster run so far is the kind of opponents that they have faced.

At Crown Jewel 2019, Otis and Tucker had a compelling encounter with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. They ended up being eliminated at the hands of former Tag Team Champions but still managed to leave a lasting impression.

Following the PPV, Heavy Machinery may find themselves involved in a well-narrated feud with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

Given the fact that the current SmackDown Champions are already engaged in an ongoing rivalry with The New Day, it would be fair to assume that the WWE's creative team will look in the direction of these two teams to carry on with their rivalry.

Even if there’s no title involved, both Heavy Machinery and the team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler can execute an interesting storyline, provided the creatives allow them the space to explore their full potential.

#3 Ricochet vs Randy Orton

'Resident Superhero' vs 'The Viper' -- Who will survive?

WWE Superstar Randy Orton is widely regarded as a legend killer. But ‘The Viper’ does an equally good job in putting over new talent. All he needs is a fight against someone who he thinks has the potential to become a future WWE Superstar.

As the captain of Team Flair, Orton squared off against upcoming stars such as Ricochet and Ali. While Orton has already fought against Ali, he is yet to face Ricochet in a singles match.

If you remember his match against Ali, Orton was evidently happy with his opponent and nodded in appreciation after their match was over. Despite being a heel, ‘The Viper’ decided to credit Ali for putting up a good fight. Maybe something similar will happen between him and Ricochet.

In the last episode of RAW, WWE’s ‘Resident Superhero’ was subjected to one of the best RKOs I have seen in a while. Ricochet was absolutely brilliant in selling the move which added to the intensity of his brief encounter with Orton.

Now that Ricochet appears bound to get a huge push, it would be epic to see him battle it out against Orton in an extended feud. And who knows, maybe this will allow Ricochet to rub shoulders with the biggest WWE Superstars who rule the main roster and find his way to the pinnacle of sports entertainment.

#2 Drew Gulak vs Braun Strowman

Since Tyson Fury has already clarified that he is keen on conquering the entire combat sports business and is probably headed towards the UFC, it is safe to assume that his feud with Braun Strowman will be short.

In that case, Strowman could find a new rival in Drew Gulak if WWE decides to book yet another storyline along the lines of ‘David vs Goliath’ narrative.

Gulak has taken brutal punishments since his arrival on the main roster and has only been involved in segments that promote other storylines. In the process, he took shots at Strowman who responded by attacking Gulak.

After Strowman’s match against Fury, Gulak sent out a tweet saying that he had already warned the ‘Monster Among Men’. Maybe WWE creative can use their little history and turn it into a full-fledged feud.

One of the major concerns arising from the possibility of this feud is that it may end up burying Gulak. But WWE can prevent that by booking the latter as someone who has the heart of a lion.

Even if he loses against Strowman, Gulak will have an opportunity to showcase his talent in front of the WWE Universe which may ultimately lead to a decent push for him in the future.

#1 Roman Reigns vs Baron Corbin

Will the 'King' bow down to the 'Big Dog'?
Will the 'King' bow down to the 'Big Dog'?

After weeks of feuding with Shorty G, ‘King’ Baron Corbin is now set to take on Roman Reigns. The latter has had a good run in the last few months and is in great momentum.

Considering the fact that WWE are slowly building up for Reigns’ ultimate push for the title, a feud with Corbin will help them add more credibility to the Big Dog’s return to the top.

Corbin is arguably the most hated heel on the main roster today. He has a special way of getting under the skin of his opponents as well as the viewers. Anyone who challenges Corbin’s false sense of superiority automatically gets the crowd to cheer for him.

Thus, Reigns will very likely end up getting more support if he feuds with Corbin. It would be a perfect opportunity for the Big Dog to make a statement. After all, Corbin might be the ‘king’ but the Blue brand is still Reigns' yard.

These two Superstars were set to main-event SmackDown this week but now, we will see that encounter unfold next Friday. Will WWE turn this one-off encounter into an extended rivalry? Let’s find out.
