5 matches WWE could have planned for tonight's Monday Night RAW after Clash of Champions

WWE Clash of Champions 2019 is in the history books and what a show it turned out to be. The third pay-per-view under the Clash of Champions banner, last night's show allowed the Superstars of WWE to try and grab that brass ring in championship match action, with two titles changing hands at the show.

With Clash of Champions out of the way, the Superstars of both RAW and SmackDown Live. will have no time to rest, as everybody's attention now turns to Monday Night RAW tonight.

Here are five huge matches the WWE could have in store tonight on RAW after an explosive Clash of Champions pay per view.

#5: Bray Wyatt Vs. Braun Strowman

Though Wyatt has issued a challenge for the Universal title, he may have to go through Braun Strowman to get there.

Though it was Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman who competed in the main event Clash of Champions last night, it's Bray Wyatt that stole the show. After the Architect retained his Universal title against the Monster Among Men, Rollins was attacked by the Fiend on the entrance ramp, leveling him with a Sister Abigail and a Mandible Claw.

On the latest episode of the Firefly Fun House, Wyatt challenged the winner of last night's main event to a title match at Hell in a Cell, in a match that would presumably take place inside the barbaric structure. Before the pay-per-view though, a number one contender's match could be set up tonight, pitting The Fiend against his old protege, the Monster Among Men.

Wyatt and Strowman certainly have history, but have yet to face each other one on one in WWE. That could all change tonight on Monday Night RAW.

#4: Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler Vs. Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins

A rematch for the Tag Titles could happen tonight, if Strowman and Rollins are able to get on the same page.

Though Seth Rollins survived Clash of Champions still the Universal Champion (barely), things didn't go exactly according to plan. In the show's opener, the team of Rollins and Strowman came up short against Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, with the Beast Slayer getting pinned by Roode following a Glorious DDT.

Throughout the match, it was clear Rollins and Strowman weren't on the same page, and this only added to the tension between the two ahead of their Universal title match later that night. Despite their differences, a title rematch could be in the works tonight, especially if the Architect is trying to smooth things over with the Monster Among Men.

It's unlikely that the pair would be victorious in the rematch, as Roode and Ziggler only won the titles 24 hours ago, but this match could definitely add something to the Strowman-Rollins storyline, as the pair are to be joined by Bray Wyatt on the road to WWE Hell in a Cell.

#3: Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss Vs. The IIconics

Bliss nearly became the WWE 24/7 Champion, before she and Cross retained their Women's Tag Titles.

At Clash of Champions last night, the team of Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss continued their winning ways with a victory over Fire and Desire. Meeting the pairing of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, all four women gave their all in the match, though it was R-Truth who proved to be the difference maker. After the 24/7 Champion made his way to the ring, chaos ensued, with Bliss even trying to win the title, and although she was unsuccessful, the pandemonium allowed Cross to hit a Swinging Neckbreaker for the win.

Post-match, Cross and Bliss sent a message to former Champions The IIconics, who are still reeling from losing the titles on the SummerSlam go-home episode of RAW a month ago. The team of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have made it clear they hope to become the first-ever two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, and a victory over Cross and Bliss tonight on Monday Night RAW could certainly put them in line for a title match in the future.

#2: The Street Profits make their main roster in-ring debut

The Street Profits have been appearing backstage on RAW for a while and could make their in-ring debut tonight.
The Street Profits have been appearing backstage on RAW for a while and could make their in-ring debut tonight.

For the past few weeks, NXT tag team The Street Profits have made their presence known on Monday Night RAW. Appearing backstage, the team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been very impressive despite not getting in the ring, with the pair's natural charisma already earning them a legion of fans.

Those who watch NXT know that the Street Profits are former NXT Tag Team Champions, recently losing the titles to the Undisputed Era in what many are speculating is a sign of their imminent call-up. Not only charismatic, but the pair are incredibly talented in the ring, something the Monday Night RAW audience haven't seen yet on the red brand.

If they were to make their in-ring debut tonight, it's likely Ford and Dawkins would face some local talent, or some lesser tag team. With that said, RAW does have new Tag Team Champions, and with Rollins' focus on the Universal title, they'll be looking for competition, something the Street Profits will be happy to give them.

#1: United States Champion AJ Styles issues a US Title open challenge

Although ten titles were defended at Clash of Champions across RAW, SmackDown Live and 205 Live, not everyone made it to the main show. The United States title, currently held by AJ Styles was relegated to the kick-off show, and though the Phenomenal One was able to retain his title against Cedric Alexander, the match was surprisingly short.

Lasting less than five minutes, this will certainly have irked Styles, who recently took umbrage with the focus of the show being on the likes of Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins, instead of on him and the OC. Being on the kick-off is quite the fall from grace for Styles, who is usually on the main card and often the main event.

With that in mind, Styles could issue an open challenge tonight on RAW, to show that the Phenomenal One can still live up to the moniker. Of course, this could backfire in a massive way, if Styles was to lose the title tonight, but that's the risk of the open challenge.
