5 mega-money matches that WWE could still do at future Wrestlemanias

Once in a lifetime: John Cena v Rock!
Once in a lifetime: John Cena v Rock!

Wrestlemania is fondly known as the Show of the Immortals, a place where the best of the best go head-to-head at the biggest show of the year. WWE is filled with superstars who are massively talented but have failed to deliver at a big stage. This has led to WWE using veteran Superstars to sell the show each year, and this doesn't look to end anytime soon.

This year we have Kurt Angle, Triple H, John Cena, Undertaker; four part-timers from the past Eras taking part in Wrestlemania 34. The lack of major draws on the roster is a clear indication of many more such matches taking place in the future.

We look at five such matches featuring former superstars, which could be a major talking point in the upcoming years.

#5: Triple H v Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode has drawn comparisons with Triple H in the past due to his looks and wrestling style. Roode came to WWE and flourished under HHH's guidance in NXT, but has struggled to find his feet on the main roster. Bobby Roode is struggling to make a name for himself and could end up becoming a personality with a great theme song and nothing else.

Triple H has been doing a good job of putting over younger Superstars in the recent years, and a match against the Glorious One will be absolutely thrilling. Triple H vs Bobby Roode may not end being a five-star match, but will surely bring an old-school feel to it.

#4: Goldberg v Braun Strowman.

The Monster v The Icon.

Goldberg wrestled his final match in WWE at last year's Wrestlemania and gave a heartfelt speech next night on RAW. However, Goldberg clearly indicated that he could come back for one more run. A match against the Monster Among Men will be the correct call.

Goldberg was one of the biggest stars of late 90s wrestling, playing the role of a human wrecking machine in WCW. He crushed Superstars and was known for his 150+ matches unbeaten streak. Braun Strowman has taken up a similar role in WWE, and these two superstars colliding on the biggest stage will be a dream come true!

#3: Batista v Roman Reigns.

Batista has been pretty vocal about a return to the squared circle in the past few months. Batista was one of the biggest Superstars in WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era along with John Cena and Edge.

His return to WWE in 2014 did not go down well with the fans. WWE should make sure they make the correct decisions this time around. Placing him in a feud with Roman Reigns will make for an electric atmosphere.

Both these individuals are known to have hard-hitting matches, and together they could create magic in the ring. They have faced off before on an episode of RAW in 2014, but a match at the Grandest Stage of Them All will be a delight to watch.

Imagine Roman Reigns winning the Universal Championship at WM, coming out on RAW next night, only to be interrupted by the returning Animal! The WWE Universe will go wild!

#2: AJ Styles v Daniel Bryan.

Daniel Bryan was arguably the biggest Superstar in WWE from 2013-2015, and his "YES" movement became a global phenomenon.

AJ Styles is currently the most loved superstar in the company. A man who is known to give phenomenal performances every time he steps in the ring. Daniel Bryan has not received a green light from the WWE medics for an in-ring return, but this might change sometime in the future.

Two of the most talented Superstars in WWE in recent years, going one-on-one at Wrestlemania, will be one of the most iconic moments in Wrestlemania history.

#1: The Rock v Roman Reigns.

The biggest superstar in the Hollywood today facing off against his cousin, Roman Reigns, at Wrestlemania, will result in an iconic. WWE loves to give Roman Reigns a major rub at Wrestlemania, and a match against the Rock will achieve this desired result.

With Braun Strowman and AJ Styles taking over the role of the biggest babyface on the roster, Roman Reigns needs to turn heel in the coming months. Roman Reigns betraying his own family will result in him becoming the biggest heel WWE has seen in years.
