5 most memorable Mandy Rose moments in WWE

Mandy Rose has been an integral part of WWE programming for a number of years now. It may surprise you to know that she has yet to win any championships so far with the company. Her time will definitely come.

But it is not always winning championships that bring iconic moments. In Mandy's case, she's had WrestleMania moments and reality television escapades. She has grown right in front of the eyes of the WWE Universe.

That being said, let's take a look at five of the most memorable Mandy Rose moments so far in WWE.

#5 Mandy Rose finished second in WWE Tough Enough

Mandy Rose's first exposure to the WWE Universe was during the 2015 Tough Enough competition. Tough Enough is a grueling elimination competition, where the winner ultimately earns a WWE contract. The Season in which Rose appeared also featured the likes of Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

Rose had quite the run through the show, as she was only once at risk of being eliminated. She was eventually saved by The Miz, who was a judge on the show. Despite having no previous wrestling experience, Mandy went on to finish as runner-up alongside Zamariah "ZZ" Loupe.

Despite not winning the competition, she was offered a five-year contract by WWE, which she accepted. She was initially assigned to the NXT brand to develop her work further and hone her craft.

Rose's run during Tough Enough didn't come without criticism. Many suggested that she only entered the competition to earn fame. She responded to those critics on the Chasing Glory podcast with Lilian Garcia:

“For me, it was one of those things where I get it where people can be rough with me because I didn’t come from a professional wrestling background or anything like that, and the way I am perceived sometimes as someone who is just a model and is in here for the fame, and I get that, but I don’t think people get that it isn’t the case. Everything I have achieved in my life I worked very hard for; I didn’t just wake up and say this was handed to me, so it kind of bothered me because I was very sensitive to that, but then I thought, you know what, it’ll be more rewarding for me in the end when I prove to everyone that I can be the person that I want to be," Mandy Rose said (h/t Wrestling Inc.)

For Mandy, this was only the beginning of her incredible journey.

#4 Mandy Rose making her main roster debut in 2017

After a stint in NXT honing her craft in the ring, Mandy Rose made her official main roster debut in the fall of 2017. The self-proclaimed Goddess of WWE joined Paige and Sonya Deville in attacking Mickie James, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Alexa Bliss. The incident occurred the night after the Survivor Series pay-per-view that year. The trio ended up being named Absolution.

At the time, it was a serious move by WWE to introduce more women to their roster. Adding Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville worked a treat, as the duo remained together for a number of years before going their separate ways in 2020. For Rose, this was just the beginning of her journey on the main roster, as she looked to establish herself with the WWE Universe.

#3 Mandy Rose appearing on WWE's reality show Total Divas

Before Mandy Rose made her debut as a wrestler, she was cast to appear in the popular WWE reality show, Total Divas. WWE clearly saw big things in Rose, and saw that Total Divas could give her some major exposure. She appeared in ten episodes of Season Five, alongside the likes of The Bella Twins, Paige and Natalya.

There was even speculation at the time that Rose was selected to be on the show simply because of her good looks. Mandy defended this perception while speaking with Lilian Garcia on her Chasing Glory Podcast:

"It's almost like, I don't like to do things for that reason, because I was told that a lot of girls aren't going to like me, and I was like, well, that's great. It's one thing where you have to do you, and it's the kind of business we are in unfortunately. But it's also like, no, I want people to like me and I want a long career in this business, and I want to have a name that people can respect because I know respect is huge here, and I felt like I was looked at like I'm just here because I'm hot, and I get that all the time, and I have to constantly look at it like, no, I am not just a Barbie doll looking girl, I have worked hard, and the struggles that I went through when I was younger, I didn't always look like this. I trained my butt off and competed and got to where I wanted to be from rigorous training and dieting. I didn't just wake up like this," Mandy Rose said. (h/t Ewrestling)

No doubt, she glowed on the Total Divas stage and delivered plenty of entertainment with her fellow cast mates.

#2 WrestleMania debut match teaming with Dana Brooke

After a couple of years of appearing on the pre-show, Mandy Rose finally got to the main show of WrestleMania 37. Rose and Dana Brooke competed in tag team turmoil to crown new No.1 contenders for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. Sadly, the duo were eliminated by The Riott Squad consisting of Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan.

One moment in particular that may stand out from the WWE Universe is what occurred during Mandy and Dana's entrance. Whilst making their way down the ramp, Mandy accidentally slipped, falling flat on her backside. The rampway was unfortunately wet due to the weather conditions in the open stadium in Tampa that evening.

Thankfully, it didn't overshadow what was a joyous occasion for the Goddess of WWE. She can finally say she has competed at WrestleMania, something only very few get to experience.

#1 Mandy Rose and Otis

Of course, how could we ever forget this storyline leading into WrestleMania 36. Mandy Rose was being pursued by Otis, until Dolph Ziggler lured her away on a date on Valentine's Day. This made Otis a very sad man. Understandable. Eventually, it turned out that Mandy's friend Sonya Deville was scheming behind it all along. She was working with Ziggler to keep Otis away from Rose.

The feud came to a head at WrestleMania 36 where Otis and Ziggler collided. Thanks to interference from Mandy Rose, Otis picked up the victory, sending Ziggler and Deville packing. After the match had concluded, Otis lifted Mandy up in his arms and planted a kiss on her, much to the delight of the WWE Universe.

It was by far one of the most intriguing storylines WWE did that year leading into WrestleMania. Of course, it would have made for a better moment had it been in front of fans (thanks COVID!). It still made for a great occasion, and is definitely Mandy's most memorable WWE moment to date.
