After all the controversies surrounding WWE in the past few weeks, WWE Evolution was a fresh dose of entertainment that fans and critics alike will keep talking about for many years to come.

R-Truth Thought He Was Scheduled To Compete At WWE Evolution
One of the funniest bits occurred during the preshow, where R-Truth crashed the party and made things awkward by stating that he was surely going to win the Evolution battle royale match.
This was a part of his running gag where R-Truth's naiveness overtakes the seriousness of the situation and also provides the viewers with a good laugh or two.
Of course, we would later see several shots of him sitting in the audience, rooting for Carmella during the Battle Royal Match.
In an event where we saw a lot of firsts, R-Truth was certainly a familiar face that viewers and audiences were happy to see. It just goes on to show that R-Truth's comic timing is perfect, and he should be utilized on TV as frequently as possible.

Nia Jax & Tamina Pay Tribute To Roman Reigns
After Roman Reigns' unfortunate announcement (regarding him being diagnosed with Leukemia once again) on previous week's Monday Night RAW, Nia Jax, and Tamina gave a special nod towards the Big Dog on WWE Evolution.
As both of them were facing off against each other in the ring during the Evolution battle royal match, Tamina & Nia imitated Roman's signature taunt (as seen in the picture above) as a special throwback and went after different opponents in the ring.
We also know that Tamina and Nia Jax are of Samoan descents as well, so the whole moment came off as pretty genuine.
A subtle gesture towards a serious situation certainly shows that there is indeed a lot of respect and appreciation amongst WWE Superstars in the locker room.

The Show Kicked Off With A Technical Botch
As with every WWE Pay-Per-View or weekly show, Michael Cole usually does the introductions welcoming viewers to the broadcast right at the very beginning.
However, if one paid close attention, it was quite noticeable that Michael Cole's introductory sentences were being cut-off unintentionally.
What made the situation more apparent was when a person informed Michael Cole about the technical error and could be easily heard on TV as the person said- "They said your mic stopped working..."
Things resolved after the Nita Strauss/Lzzy Hale hardcore performance eventually. However, the situation still came off as quite bizarre given the fact that we were all witnessing a historic moment in professional wrestling.
While there were many other botches that followed later on during the show, this technical error during a historic Pay-Per-View's introduction will remain on video format forever.
Alexa Bliss, Mickie James & Alicia Fox Cosplayed As "Alice In Wonderland" Characters
Alexa Bliss retweeted a post on her Twitter feed mentioning the fact that Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and Alicia Fox were dressed as characters from "Alice In Wonderland".
The tweet was posted as follows:
Costumes were certainly a huge part of the WWE Evolution Pay-Per-View. This just goes on to show that WWE pays attention to detail several times during big events like this one.
Mickie James was cosplaying as the 'Queen of Hearts', Alicia Fox as 'White Rabbit' and Alexa Bliss as Alice herself.
It is worthy to mention that even the Riott Squad were cosplaying in different costumes thanks to Halloween being just around the corner (October 31st).
Even the commentators mentioned this on air. There was certainly a lot more to WWE Evolution other than 'wrestling' itself, wasn't there?
Nikki Bella Finally Acknowledges That The Divas Era Is Over
A WWE.com exclusive revealed that Nikki Bella might be moving on to different things for a while. When asked about how she felt after losing to Ronda Rousey, here is her direct quote:
Not great. I’m defeated, and I just feel like the Divas Era is officially over. I’m done, but you know what? With Ronda, it’s not over. And when I come back here, I’m going to be a brand new woman that every woman in this women’s division will need to fear.
1) It is pretty apparent that Nikki Bella might be going away from WWE for a while.
2) She directly acknowledged that the 'Divas Era' is finally over. While she may not be done with Ronda, it is worthy to note that her character has officially moved on from the 'Divas Era' itself.
It looks like WWE Evolution was ironically an 'evolution' for several wrestling characters as well.
