5 possible finishes for Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins at WWE Crown Jewel

Many people had issues with the way Seth Rollins' Universal title defense against Bray Wyatt ended at Hell in a Cell. After the referee of the match announced that he stopped the match because he feared for Bray's life, a rematch was set up. This time, however, WWE has stipulated that the match "can't be stopped for any reason". One would assume that means pinfall or submission can end the match, but the referee's discretion is not in play. No matter what the men do to each other (or plan to do to each other) the referee can only watch, count the pinfall, or signal for the bell after a submission.

Fans are concerned about how WWE is going to end this match. Will Wyatt suffer his first loss as "The Fiend"? Will he win the Universal Championship and take it to SmackDown? Will The Fiend stay on RAW while Bray Wyatt joins the SmackDown roster? What could happen on Halloween when Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt clash again?

#5 Seth Rollins defeats The Fiend Bray Wyatt and hands him his first loss

Seth Rollins hit many Stomps at Hell in a Cell but couldn't get the job done.
Seth Rollins hit many Stomps at Hell in a Cell but couldn't get the job done.

The Fiend was a horror movie monster at Hell in a Cell, coming back from everything Rollins was able to throw at him. He stood up immediately after Seth would hit his finisher on multiple occasions, and no matter what the Universal Champion did, Bray just kept moving forward. On Halloween, maybe the Champion can finally exorcize his demons and beat the monster.

No major Championships have changed hands at a show in Saudi Arabia, and while there is a first time for everything, it doesn't seem like they would start here. Seth Rollins has been a very strong, nearly unbeatable wrestler for a long time, and there have been recent hints, especially after the reaction he received at the end of the Hell in a Cell match, that Seth might be turning to the dark side himself. If that's the case, the fans will definitely not give him a hero's welcome when he returns to the United States after being the first man to pin The Fiend, especially so soon into his run as the character. Defeating such a popular figure would be a great catalyst for a heel turn, but would it be at the expense of The Fiend?

#4 Bray Wyatt defeats Seth Rollins to become Universal Champion

The Fiend hasn't lost yet, and that may spell victory.
The Fiend hasn't lost yet, and that may spell victory.

Some fans have speculated that while The Fiend was drafted to SmackDown on Fridays, Bray Wyatt may be sticking around on Monday Night RAW. If that's the case, it wouldn't be implausible that Wyatt could win RAW's top title in Saudi Arabia. It would also become a very interesting case, as Bray would be working double duty, although one or the other might not wrestle on TV anyway, just PPV specials.

Both of Bray's characters are extremely popular with WWE fans. The fans would be very excited to see either character win, and unlike Seth, Bray actually would receive a hero's welcome upon returning to the United States.

The Fun House character would be extraordinarily entertaining as the Universal Champion. Just imagine how excited he would be! How extra happy, and extra excited and exuberant! He might not even try to hurt Ramblin' Rabbit! He might even make an appearance in the ring, and that would certainly be an interesting situation.

There are a lot of possible scenarios that could be in play. Since Survivor Series is often RAW vs. SmackDown, so Bray would be able to hold the title hostage inside the Firefly Fun House for a few weeks before Seth could conquer him and do a proper heel turn on American soil (in Chicago, no less) so the crowd can really turn on him. A Chicago crowd would be all in on Bray and completely against Seth.

#3 Wyatt Family members attack

Could the Wyatt Family return? Or might a new member appear?
Could the Wyatt Family return? Or might a new member appear?

This is one of the two ways WWE could avoid having one of the two men lose the match. It would allow neither Bray nor Seth to take a pin-fall, while having WWE technically not go back on their word.

If Wyatt Family members (new or old) were to interfere and drag one or both of the men out of the arena, the match wasn't stopped, it simply could not continue. It's a Falls Count Anywhere match, which inherently means there are no rules. Therefore that doesn't rule out interference. Whether it's Harper, Rowan, or both -- or even someone new from NXT, or possibly even one or multiple people in masks (Fiend masks, perhaps?), if one or both of the competitors were to be carried away, or, even better, suddenly disappear, then the match can't continue.

The idea may seem like a cop-out or going against what seems like a promise that there will actually be a finish, but WWE is absolutely not promising that there will be a conclusive winner or loser. The wording of the stipulation lends itself to interpretation. It "can't be stopped for any reason" seems to mean that the referee can't call the match off. It can end by traditional means or, on the exact opposite end of the spectrum, it can end by extremely non-traditional means.

The complete disappearance of the competitors ostensibly means the match is over. And because it's not in front of a live American audience, they can really just do what they want.

#2 Referee costs Seth Rollins the championship

Seth Rollins may have an altercation with a WWE referee.

What if the referee has something against Seth Rollins?

Maybe he didn't have a problem with Seth before the Hell in a Cell match, but afterward, he had an issue because the Universal Champion blatantly ignored his continued attempts to stop the excessive violence. Because of this, the referee has been getting attacked by fans and just cannot take it anymore. He ends up getting the assignment of being the referee for this match as well. Maybe he says it's because he wants to make up for the misunderstandings. Maybe he wants to show the fans that he understands what happened. Maybe it's a punishment that comes down straight from Vince McMahon himself, and he's terrified of having to be in the ring with Rollins and The Fiend again.

Due to this, the referee could go rogue and cost Seth the match and the title. He could do the classic and stop short on a pinfall just before hitting the mat for a 3 count. Maybe he is slow to get down for Seth's pin attempts and then does a very slow count, all the while is extremely quick to count for Wyatt. It could go on for the whole match or just one big moment that sees him do something that directly affects the ending of the match.

This would become even more plausible if the referee was revealed to be the first new follower of Bray Wyatt, or if there was a special guest referee appointed in order to make sure that there were no mistakes. Mick Foley, for example. One would think that he would have every reason to side with Rollins, but he decides to call it right down the middle until a crucial point in the match -- and then he pulls out a version of Mr. Socko that's dressed up like Ramblin' Rabbit. He does the Mandible Claw, then passes Seth over to The Fiend, who also does the Mandible Claw and Foley then counts the pinfall and there's a new champion.

The reasoning for Foley doing what he did? Admiration for what The Fiend has done and how much it reminds him of a young Mick Foley.

#1 Both wrestlers brawl out of the arena and disappear

What if the Superstars fight so intensely that the cameras can no longer find them?
What if the Superstars fight so intensely that the cameras can no longer find them?

It's a Falls Count Anywhere match. That lends itself to tons of wrestling and fighting away from the ring. If they use the stipulation to their advantage, it means that they would keep the action away from the ring as much as possible. This could lead to a mysterious ending. Both wrestlers fight wildly, Brawling up the entrance ramp or to another arena exit that leads backstage. They fight through the backstage area, all over the building, and eventually, the cameras can no longer find them.

They can search for the competitors for a little while before finally coming to an exit door that's left partially open, but somehow impossible to get through, no matter what they try. The match has to be called off because the participants have disappeared into the darkness and are unable to be found.

This might sit better with fans than having both men disappear after a Wyatt Family attack, and certainly would be received better than a referee costing the champion the match. It may not be a perfect ending, but it's certainly fitting of the stipulation, and the chaotic nature they could create would possibly be fantastic. Because they can tape the backstage fighting before the show, it would allow them to make edits and cuts, add effects and do whatever they want in order to make the whole scene more insane. A properly done job could come across as having been done so well that even though the popular Fiend Bray Wyatt doesn't get the Universal Title, people still think it was cool, and the overall segment gets people talking.

It feels like outside of Rollins picking up the victory, some version of this is the most plausible outcome that could actually occur at the Crown Jewel PPV event.
