Asuka has been one of the most talented and dominant superstars in WWE.

Since making her debut on WWE main roster in 2017, the Japanese superstar has scaled some glorious peaks. She was the winner of the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble in 2018. Asuka is also a former two-time RAW Women's Champion, a former SmackDown Women's Champion, and a former two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. She was also the Money in the Bank winner in 2020.

The Empress of Tomorrow was last seen in action in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the namesake pay-per-view back in July 2021. It has been reported the superstar is healing an arm injury after a post surfaced of Asuka wearing an arm sling in September.

No fixed date has been set for her return yet. Asuka also wasn't picked on either RAW or SmackDown during this year's Draft, which means her status in WWE is that of a free agent.

As a free agent, The Empress of Tomorrow can appear on either RAW or SmackDown. Here's a look at five potential feuds for Asuka when she does make her comeback to WWE.

#5. Queen Zelina vs. Asuka

Queen Zelina has certainly been making hay while the sun is shining on her in WWE.

At Crown Jewel 2021, she soared to become Queen by beating Doudrop in the Queen's Crown Tournament Final. This past week on RAW, Zelina, and Carmella dethroned Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley as the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

The Queen is beaming with confidence and would look to seek revenge against Asuka, who beat her in two consecutive matches at Clash of Champions and the next night on RAW in September 2020. On both occasions, Zelina surrendered to The Asuka Lock.

Vega would look to settle the score in a revenge match.

#4. Liv Morgan vs. Asuka

Liv Morgan and Asuka have had some epic bouts.

The two have gone head to head back in their NXT days, with their latest singles contest happening in April 2020. The Empress prevailed when she got Liv to tap out to The Asuka lock. With that being said, Morgan has been mighty impressive of late, becoming the #1 contender for Becky Lynch's RAW Women's Championship.

Another bout between these ladies would fire up the WWE Universe as Morgan could look to get even with Asuka.

#3. Bianca Belair vs. Asuka

Bianca Belair has been one of the biggest success stories in WWE this year.

The EST of WWE won the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble, headlined WrestleMania 37, and won her first SmackDown Women's Championship beating Sasha Banks. She was also instrumental in taking Team RAW to victory in the recently concluded Survivor Series when she pinned Natalya, Shayna Baszler, and Shotzi.

With Belair gathering so much momentum, a contest between her and Asuka will be an exciting first. Both women will put their best foot forward, making it a treat for the WWE Universe to savor.

#2. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka

Charlotte Flair and Asuka have been fierce competitors and tag team partners.

The two joined forces to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at TLC 2020, beating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. The Queen and The Empress have locked horns on multiple occasions, with the most notable being at WrestleMania 34. Charlotte retained her SmackDown Women's Championship against Asuka, ending the latter's 914-day undefeated streak in WWE.

Another contest between these powerhouses could be on the cards, with Asuka looking for revenge by beating Charlotte Flair to become SmackDown Women's Champion for a second time.

#1. Becky Lynch vs. Asuka

There's immense mutual respect between Becky Lynch and Asuka. The Man relinquished her RAW Women's Championship in May 2020 to Asuka when she announced her pregnancy.

The two women have also had epic battles in the past. At the 2019 Royal Rumble, Asuka beat Becky Lynch to retain her SmackDown Women's Championship. At the same event a year later, Becky returned the favor when she beat The Empress to retain her RAW Women's Championship.

With such enthralling battles in the past, another contest would be one for the ages where Asuka could look to dethrone Becky to become the RAW Women's Champion for a third time.
