5 predictions for Evolution's go-home episode of Raw (22 October 2018)

Ladies and gentlemen, the man of the hour.
Ladies and gentlemen, the man of the hour.

Last week’s Raw ended on a bizarre note as Drew McIntyre delivered a thunderous Claymore Kick to Braun Strowman. For weeks, Strowman’s pack played mind games to tear apart the Shield. However, it turned out that they were the ones who faced the implosion. Well, we all know what they say about Karma.

Dean Ambrose was the center of attraction as he was suspected to betray the Shield. His actions through the entire night made the fans wonder if he is going to lay his hands on his brotherhood. Although the Shield ended on the victorious side last Monday, the tension in the group can still be felt in the air.

Considering everything which has happened since the last couple of weeks, here are the predictions for Evolution’s go-show episode of Raw.

#5 Braun Strowman calls out Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns interferes

This will be intense.
This will be intense.

Braun Strowman has found himself a new enemy in the form of Drew McIntyre. Over the last few weeks, the “Monster Among Men” threatened his pack that they might be at the receiving end of “getting these hands” if they lose against the Shield.

Dolph Ziggler got pinned last week, and the big man took out his frustration on him by putting him through a running Powerslam. However, the other half of the Raw tag team champions took an exception to it and returned the favor to the leader of the pack.

Hence, Raw might kick off this week with Braun Strowman calling out Drew McIntyre. A physical confrontation between these two men is also on the cards. The fans will be anticipating a match between these two as well.

However, it is hard to ignore Roman Reigns’ involvement in this. Notably, he has to defend the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel. It will be interesting to see how this segment unfolds and what role the “Big Dog” plays in this fallout from the last week.

#4 New Storylines

There is a new Heel on Raw.
There is a new Heel on Raw.

Bobby Lashley has been working on establishing himself as one of the top Heels on WWE roster. His change in character begun when he attacked Kevin Owens a couple of weeks back on Raw.

Last week, Lashley interrupted Finn Balor’s celebration in the ring after the latter won his match along with this mixed-match partner Bayley. Although the Demon King didn’t retaliate last week on Raw, this face told the story when he left the ring while Lashley was portraying himself. It is probable that these two Superstars will be booked in another segment this week on Raw to add gravitas to their last week’s segment.

Another potential storyline will be the one involving Elias and Apollo Crews. Last week, Apollo not only interrupted the Walk with Elias concert but also assaulted Elias. Hence, it is possible that these two gets to cut a promo this week as well.

#3 Nikki talks trash about Ronda Rousey

This can become far more personal.
This can become far more personal.

Last week Ronda Rousey called out the Bella Twins to get an explanation for the attack the duo executed on their former-friend after all three of them defeated the Riott Squad in a tag-team match. Things got personal during this confrontation as the reigning Raw Women’s champion took a jab at Nikki about her relationship with John Cena.

This week, Nikki might execute a vocal attack on the “Rowdy One” by pulling out a chapter from her past. It could be something related to her run in UFC, or something from her personal life. Whatever it may be, it will surely be a thing which will leave the champion with a sour taste in her mouth.

Notably, these two Women are scheduled to face each other at Crown Jewel for the championship. Hence, the Bellas will try their best to gain an upper hand before this match happens next Sunday at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York.

#2 Dean Ambrose remains to astray

Seth Rollins will try to calm down Dean Ambrose.
Seth Rollins will try to calm down Dean Ambrose.

Despite the fact that the Shield won their six-man tag-team match against Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre last week, the uncertainty about the brotherhood is still in the air.

The “Lunatic Fringe” was poles apart from Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for most of the show. Not to mention, he tried to execute a Dirty Deeds on Seth Rollins moments before the match ended.

This week, Seth Rollins might continue to convince Dean Ambrose about his actions from the last couple of weeks. However, judging by the way things have gone down in the recent past, it is probable that this confrontation will not be a constructive one.

Not only Dean Ambrose is the only one among the “Hounds of Justice” without a championship, he also happens to be the one without a match at Crown Jewel so far. Hence, it is possible that the night concludes with Dean still being way-off from the rest of his brotherhood.

# Women will dominate Raw

The women roster will be on full swing.
The women roster will be on full swing.

Evolution is around the corner and WWE will be focusing their attention on it. They won’t leave a single stone unturned to ensure that the first ever all Women’s PPV leaves a lasting impression. Hence, it is obvious that the third hour of the show will be dominated by the women’s of WWE.

Last week, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James tried to get under the skin of Trish Stratus and Lita. Although the veterans challenged this duo for a physical confrontation in the ring, the Heels of the women’s roster refused to do so. It will be interesting to see if the duo tries to execute an attack on the Hall of Famers.

A Battle Royal is also going to happen at Evolution which will feature Superstars from both the brands. The Raw participants would love to make an impression for them on the night in a couple of tag-team matches. Overall, this week’s Raw will be dominated by the Women power.
