5 RAW or SmackDown Superstars who could invade NXT

Will there be retaliation on NXT?
Will there be retaliation on NXT?

The build up to Survivor Series has been red hot right off the bat. Triple H has declared War on the two "main roster" brands as his NXT Superstars have invaded both RAW and SmackDown. Many in the WWE Universe had a feeling things could get highly entertaining once it was announced that Black & Gold brand would be added to Survivor Series this year. So far, the WWE has delivered.

Adam Cole has defended his NXT Championship against both Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins. Shayna Baszler attacked Bayley and Sasha Banks on SmackDown and then had a very intense stare down with Becky Lynch on RAW. The OC came down to confront the Undisputed Era. Matt Riddle and Keith Lee destroyed Sami Zayn. Tommaso Ciampa took out the Miz. The best part of all this? I think things are just getting warmed up.

Wednesday night is the first episode of NXT since the invasion angle started. Which means it could be time for some retaliation. Here are 5 Superstars would we could see show up at Full Sail University.

#1 Becky Lynch

If there's one thing that's been missing from the last two shows, it's been a lack of leadership for RAW and SmackDown. Triple H has assumed that General role for NXT and is leading his troops into battle. His counterparts, Paul Heyman and Bruce Prichard, are not the on screen leaders of their respective brands. Which means someone else has to step up for those locker rooms.

If there's one person we know can lead a charge, it's 'The Man'. Last November Becky Lynch led the SmackDown invasion of RAW, attacking Ronda Rousey and the rest of the Monday night Women's roster. She was bloodied in battle but still finished the fight. Closing out the show with one of the most iconic finishes in recent RAW history.

After Monday night's intense (but non-physical) confrontation with Shayna Baszler, I'm sure 'The Man' is itching to get her hands dirty. It's possible we see Lynch try to get the drop on the NXT Women's Champion on her home brand.

#2 Bayley

Will Bayley seek revenge?
Will Bayley seek revenge?

Bayley may have the biggest motivation of anyone on either RAW or SmackDown to show up on NXT and make a statement. Shayna Baszler left her and Sasha Banks laying in the ring last Friday night following a sneak attack. What's even worse is during RAW's showdown between Baszler and Becky Lynch, she was clearly the third wheel in the eyes of her two Survivor Series opponents.

Baszler and Lynch have been the two most dominate women in the company for the last several months. Bayley needs to take the fight to them and present herself as a real threat to these women. That could start Wednesday night if she shows up at Full Sail and returns the favor by attacking Baszler.

#3 AJ Styles

Make no mistake about it. There's some unfinished business between The OC and The Undisputed Era. We got a little taste of the two factions colliding on RAW, and I was hoping that would lead to match between the two at Survivor Series. That won't be the case as Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly are already booked on the card. However, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong are not.

AJ Styles is arguably the best wrestler RAW has to offer. If you're trying to prove brand supremacy, he's a go to guy. Styles could show up Wednesday to challenge Adam Cole to a match at Survivor Series. Or as I wrote last week, there's always the possibility he matches up with Strong instead.

There's part of me that will be really sad if we don't get to see that Mid-card Title triple threat between Styles, Strong, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

#4 Seth Rollins

Speaking of unfinished business, let's talk about Triple H and his offer to Seth Rollins. The WWE's COO made it clear that he wants Rollins to join his team on Wednesday nights. The Beastslayer seemed very open to the idea, but only if he came in as the top dog. His NXT Title match ended in a disqualification on RAW, so it's only natural to assume that Rollins makes an appearance Wednesday to continue the storyline.

Where this ends up, I'm not sure. I do have a hunch we could get a Cole vs. Rollins rematch for the NXT Championship at Survivor Series. Which would make for a very interesting scenario. Rollins could win the Title and secure a victory for team RAW. At the same time though, RAW would lose one of it's top stars to Wednesday nights if that happened.

#5 The Fiend Bray Wyatt

Could we be heading toward a rematch at Survivor Series?
Could we be heading toward a rematch at Survivor Series?

Very rarely is something teased on WWE programming without some sort of payoff. When Finn Balor brought up Bray Wyatt last week, it was happening for a reason.

I don't expect the new Universal Champion to let those comments slide. Balor's issues with Johnny Gargano are going to have to wait a few weeks, because I'm expecting The Fiend to come calling. With Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Title against Rey Mysterio, we know that a Heavyweight Champion triple threat isn't happening at Survivor Series. Wyatt needs an opponent.

There's always the possibility that Wyatt gets matched up with Adam Cole, but given the history, Balor just makes more sense. The question is will Balor put his mask back on? Will we get The Fiend vs. The Demon?
