Raw Predictions for April 23rd show

This Monday Raw will have its go-home for the Greatest Royal Rumble. The Superstar Shake-Up is now in the past, but it will surely have implications which would reflect on the upcoming episode of the flagship show.

There is only one week difference between the Saudi Arabian PPV and Backlash. Hence, the significance of this week's show has increased by leaps and bounds. Here are the predictions about things which might happen this week.

#1 The Maharaja blames the Olympian

Last week wasn't the one Jinder Mahal would like to remember.
Last week wasn't the one Jinder Mahal would like to remember.

Last week Jinder Mahal lost his United States title to Jeff Hardy. He might blame Kurt Angle for forcing him to defend the title in an impromptu match.

Notably, Jeff Hardy is now on SmackDown Live which means the challenger will have to wait until the end of this week to meet the “Enigma”.

The Raw General Manager should be looking to provide competition to the former-champion ahead of his match at Saudi Arabia. As a result, the “Modern Day Maharaja” might have one more surprise match coming his way this week. Could it be against the “Glorious” Bobby Roode?

#2 Bayley and Banks face the Riott Squad

The beat down was executed perfectly by the Riott Squad.

Bayley and Sasha Banks fought each other in an emotion-filled match last week. Sadly, the match ended abruptly as the Riott Squad attacked both the participants.

The victims of the last week’s attack should put their difference aside as they might face the Riott Squad in a tag match. However, it is probable that the emotions will get the best of the former-friends.

If this happens, they will end up fighting each other which will become an opening for their opponents. The faction might capitalize on this implosion and pick up the victory to continue their riot on Raw.

#3 Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn run wild

They always find a way to get things done their way.
They always find a way to get things done their way.

A couple of weeks ago both these Superstars came to Raw in hope of a job. Not to mention, their request was denied by Kurt Angle. The story didn’t end there as last week Stephanie McMahon overruled his decision and hired both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

This duo ran wild on Tuesday nights and executed attacks on both the General Manager and Commissioner of that brand. This was the reason due to which they were not offered jobs on Raw in the first place.

Given that now they enjoy the support of the Commissioner on Monday nights, they might go to the next level to make things miserable for the Raw General Manager.

#4 Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in action

These latest acquisitions left a mark as they took out Titus Worldwide last week. The victims didn’t even see it coming as they were decimated by the combination of Claymore Kick and Zig-Zag.

They will want to make things even this week on Raw in a possible match against the team of the “Show-Off” and the former NXT champion. If this match happens, it is safe to say that the Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews will be on the losing side.

This sets the momentum for the newest possessions and keeps the ball rolling for them. It is probable that these two will contest for the tag-team championships in a couple of weeks.

#5 Roman Reigns makes a statement

This might the last chance for Roman Reigns.
This might the last chance for Roman Reigns.

Over the last couple of months, Brock Lesnar has dominated Roman Reigns every single time they have met. Roman Reigns will be desperate to make this night different.

Quite possibly, the “Big Dog” is looking at his last opportunity to win the Universal Championship from the “Beast Incarnate”. He must make a bold statement ahead of their match on Friday. If the challenger can gain momentum against the reigning champion, it would also set the tone for the upcoming match.

The crowd at WrestleMania vociferously showed their discontent for the championship match. WWE would try their best to ensure that doesn’t happen again on the main event at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
