Recently, The Undertaker announced his retirement from the WWE ring

Listen, whether or not The Undertaker has retired from the ring is a subject that has been discussed, debated, picked apart, and talked about several times. You can read my thoughts about whether or not he will wrestle in WWE again right here.

But one thing that one must bear in mind is that The Undertaker has signed a 15-year contract with WWE, which is an interesting development. So, if The Undertaker is no longer wrestling for the company, what are 5 roles that we could potentially see him doing, you ask?

I have listed a few possibilities in this article and I welcome you to chime in and let me know what roles you can imagine The Undertaker possibly doing?

#5 The Undertaker could be the manager for the next big man in WWE

This is the unlikeliest role I can imagine for The Undertaker but it is still within the realm of possibility and this is why I believe that the axiom of 'never say never in WWE' holds true in this case. If WWE identifies the next big Superstar, The Undertaker could very well become his mouthpiece. It will have to be someone huge, physically, so that The Undertaker does not overshadow him from the very outset, I suppose.

If you check out the video that I have linked on top, The Undertaker has not ruled out the possibility of getting into a WWE ring at any point down the line. Even though he has no desire to compete again, if the storyline called for it, The Undertaker could certainly mix it up one last time with this WWE Superstar and put him over.

Is this a WWE role you'd like to see The Undertaker in?

#4 The Undertaker could be cast as an authority figure for WWE RAW or SmackDown in the future

I guess WWE has done away with the concept of authority figures now, but when Stone Cold Steve Austin retired, one way to keep him on-screen was to make him an authority figure. The Undertaker would be perfect in this role because of his commanding presence and the very fact that him starting off every show, even if it was in a more stripped-down version of his WWE avatar, would attract viewers immediately.

A lot of people have been upset at the fact that The Undertaker's last match happened in a boneyard and not in front of a live audience, which is where the character really took off- as a fan favorite for the entire WWE Universe. While this is not technically him competing in the ring, when things return to normal again, this is a fantastic way for The Undertaker to share a connection with the WWE fans. And yes, he will have to appear in his biker persona.

#3 The Undertaker could lend his pro wrestling expertise to WWE trainees in the Performance Center

The Undertaker is someone who has worked across generations in WWE, from the time when Hulk Hogan ruled the roost, to the Attitude Era, from the time that John Cena carried the company on his back, to the current era mixing it up with guys like 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles.

The wealth of knowledge that The Undertaker has can be passed to the next generation in the WWE Performance Center, in much the same manner as Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been doing.

Pretty much anyone in the WWE Performance Center, who is following his/her dream of becoming a WWE Superstar has to be inspired by The Undertaker, who is arguably one of the biggest mainstays of the company for so many years now. And they would most likely be thrilled if a man who is a pop culture phenomenon coaches them to follow in his footsteps and become the draw and the sensation that he's been for so many years.

#2 The Undertaker could be a special guest referee for all the biggest WWE matches

If there was ever a question of whether or not a WWE match would go down without a glitch and a special guest referee had to be introduced to maintain a sense of decorum to the proceedings, is there a better candidate for the role than The Undertaker?

So, whether it's the WrestleMania main event or even a big title match at a B pay-per-view like Backlash or Extreme Rules that needs star power, The Undertaker could really show up as himself and insert himself into the mix to ensure that there is no foul play during the course of the big WWE contest.

In fact, having The Undertaker involved in a cinematic match in this manner could also see him getting physical with a whole host of WWE Superstars. For a lot of the guys in the match, it may indeed be a dream to work with the likes of The Undertaker and it could elevate every WWE superstar involved in the said contest.

#1 The Undertaker could also try to call the action as a possible WWE announcer

If you haven't gotten your fix of The Undertaker yet, I seriously recommend that you visit our YouTube channel, subscribe and check out this video, and all the other fun WWE content that we have lined up for you. Now that the veil has been lifted from The Undertaker and we have seen the man who has hidden behind that ominous WWE persona for so many years, could he potentially try his hand as a commentator?

As ludicrous as this idea may sound when you first listen to it, did people ever imagine that Jerry Lawler enjoy perhaps the best run of his entire career, as a commentator? Did anyone expect JBL, when he was a part of the APA to become an announcer and excel in the manner that he did for so many years?

The Undertaker, if he decides to become a WWE announcer, will do a damn fine job and we all know he'll put talent over as very few individuals can.
