5 Reasons why Karrion Kross lost his WWE RAW debut

Social media is furious. Karrion Kross, your current NXT Champion, made his RAW debut against Jeff Hardy. All was good for a minute when the WWE Universe learned that Hardy had gotten his old theme song back! And then, suddenly, their mood was ruined.

Kross lost his WWE RAW debut match, getting pinned in a contest everyone expected him to win. This was the surprise of the night, considering that he's the NXT Champion. Moreover, it is his birthday!

So, why was this decision made, one has to wonder! Why did Karrion Kross, a man who has been protected thus far in NXT, lose to Jeff Hardy?

#5 An enraged Karrion Kross is a dangerous man

Karrion Kross, or Karrion Loss as Sportskeeda writer Pratyay Ghosh has been referring to him, is certainly a dangerous man. Of course, the idea of a deadly fighter like him running through his opponents is a pretty scary proposition indeed. That said, imagine a scary individual like him after an embarrassing defeat.

Like a viper, with fangs bared, such an individual will seek respect, retribution, and revenge. Anyone in his path will feel the wrath of one Kross. The way he bounces back from a loss of this nature could be more interesting than a winning streak.

Listen, if you go back and review the footage, the supposed babyface of the match, Jeff Hardy cheated to win with his foot on the ropes. There's a story that's waiting to be explored. Hardy didn't play by the rules. Why should Karrion Kross? The next few weeks will be very interesting indeed.

#4 Could allow Karrion Kross to bring in his good luck charm - Lady Scarlett

Yes, Karrion Kross may have come up short against Jeff Hardy, but his lady love and valet, Lady Scarlett doesn't seem too discouraged. Judging from the Tweet that she sent out after Kross lost, she believes that the best is yet to come.

Scarlett was conspicuous by her absence on WWE RAW and one has to wonder if this loss is a device to bring her to the main roster. Maybe her arrival turns the tide for this talented, promising man.

#3 Actually gives Jeff Hardy a storyline to participate in

It's practically criminal to have Jeff Hardy on the roster and not have a storyline for him to participate in. Had he lost clean to Karrion Kross, the storyline would have been over and done and Kross would have pretty much moved on.

Considering how things played out this week, this storyline is far from done. Jeff Hardy, a living legend, now has the chance to work with a younger star in a compelling storyline and well, make him!

#2 WWE probably didn't want Karrion Kross to ruin a good moment

The setting was perfect. Karrion Kross faced Jeff Hardy in a match on the first RAW episode in front of a live audience in well over a year. Hardy even had his old theme song back. It would have been a shame for him to come out in such a cool manner, with the crowd firmly behind him, and then lose the match.

Vince McMahon, who is old school, probably believes that fans want to see the babyface beat the heel!

#1 Disconnect between Vince McMahon and Triple H

So many talents that have been booked in a certain way on NXT do not achieve the same level of success on RAW or even SmackDown. Bo Dallas is a prime example of a highly talented individual whose success was confined to the developmental brand.

Let's hope that Vince McMahon sees Karrion Kross for the star he is, in the same way that fans do. In the same way that Triple H does as well!
