Daniel Bryan continues adding several legendary chapters to his real-life Cinderella story, after making his in-ring comeback earlier this year -- participating in a brawl with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on the March 20th, 2018 episode of SmackDown Live.

Bryan quickly moved from one feud to another since then, and subsequently resumed his role as one of the WWE's top Superstars.

Speaking of which, Bryan had lately been stuck in seemingly meaningless storylines, which resulted in many of The Flying G.O.A.T.'s fans complaining that he deserves much better feuds on SmackDown Live.

Well, thankfully, for the millions and millions of his fans, including me, the WWE finally placed the spotlight on Bryan once again, by having him defeat AJ Styles for the latter's WWE Championship on the November 13th, 2018 episode of SmackDown Live.

Newly-crowned WWE Champion Bryan will now represent the SmackDown brand at the Survivor Series PPV; facing RAW's reigning Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, at the Survivor Series PPV which takes place this Sunday (November 18th, 2018)...On this special occasion, we take a look at a few highly intriguing reasons which solidify that Daniel Bryan is better than Brock Lesnar...

#5 Daniel Bryan isn't distracted by the UFC, and works as a full-time WWE Superstar

First off, we examine the most glaring reason which makes Daniel Bryan so much better than Brock Lesnar in the WWE. Bryan is a full-time WWE Superstar, whereas Lesnar is well known for having worked only a part-time schedule in the WWE since his return to the company in 2012.

A big reason behind Lesnar working a part-time schedule for the WWE is because the man is a huge box office draw outside the professional wrestling world as well -- one of the biggest attractions in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), working for the biggest organization in MMA, the UFC!

I truly believe in giving credit where it's due and have to admit, that Brock Lesnar is an excellent businessman and negotiator for consistently cutting such great deals with the WWE. However, Lesnar's business savvy doesn't change the fact that he's constantly distracted by the UFC, and doesn't give enough time to his duties in the WWE.

On the other hand, Daniel Bryan has always worked as a full-time Superstar for the WWE, and even during his injury, retirement, and post-retirement role as the General Manager of SmackDown Live -- Bryan always proved his commitment to the WWE! Let's face it, we'd want a full-time Superstar like Bryan as our champion, rather than a part-timer like Lesnar...

#4 Daniel Bryan puts his heart and soul into his promos, while Brock Lesnar barely says a word

Alright, most fans of The Beast Incarnate may say that he doesn't really need to cut a promo, because "The Advocate" Paul Heyman always happens to be by Brock Lesnar's side in the WWE. Well, as much as I am a fan of Mr Heyman and his excellent mic work, it'd still be great to see Lesnar speak a little bit, at the very least, in the buildup to his matches; rather than just mindlessly bouncing around in the middle of the ring!

Meanwhile, when you look at Daniel Bryan, the man always puts his heart and soul into each and every promo that he cuts. In fact, I'd also like to add that even in his promos and fan interactions at WWE's non-televised events (house shows), Bryan still puts in a lot of efforts to go out of his way and get that extra sting in his promo work...

#3 Daniel Bryan really loves the art of professional wrestling

I would hereby like to remind you guys about an article I'd written in August of this year, about an out-of-character interview (shoot interview) featuring Shinsuke Nakamura. The interview which took place a few years ago was a part of Nakamura's autobiography, wherein The Artist criticized Brock Lesnar's run alongside him in NJPW -- noting that he felt Lesnar doesn't respect the business. You can read the details on what Nakamura said about Lesnar by clicking this link.

Now, I'd like to clarify the fact that by no means am I insinuating that Lesnar doesn't respect the business. However, by Lesnar's own admission, it's no secret that he only performs for the WWE because of the money he earns and isn't really interested in much else. In fact, even in his MMA career, Lesnar has often stated that he doesn't really care about trophies and belts, but only competes to use his skills, improve his martial arts knowledge, and most importantly, for the millions and millions of dollars!

On the other hand, before he received medical clearance from the WWE in March of this year, Daniel Bryan -- whose previous WWE contract ended on September 1st, 2018 -- often said that he would gladly wrestle in the indies for considerably lower pay, if WWE continued to use him only as a GM rather than allowing him to wrestle again.

Bryan loves this sport, and the sport loves him...

#2 Daniel Bryan is a student of the game, and has surpassed Brock Lesnar as an in-ring performer

Daniel Bryan constantly changes up his on-screen character's presentation

Daniel Bryan has been competing as a professional wrestler since the year 1999, and over the course of his long and storied career, the man has wrestled for several notable promotions such as ROH and NJPW. Bryan eventually went on to become one of the most beloved Superstars in WWE history, and to this day, he still continues to be as humble as ever!

This truly is one of the most important reasons why Bryan is regarded by many as a better professional wrestler and sports-entertainer than Brock Lesnar. While both men have always been highly talented performers, Bryan never stops adding new things to his arsenal.

Lesnar has had the same move-set and match-sequences since his 2012 return to WWE, whereas Bryan regularly changes up his mat wrestling manoeuvres, his entries, mid-match holds, the volume of strikes, rhythm, and many other subtle things that most fans may not recognize until it's pointed out to them! Bryan is a genius, but what we'll examine next, is an even greater reason behind his star shining so bright...

#1 Daniel Bryan has a "real" emotional connection with the WWE Universe

The vast majority of professional wrestling fans, as well as experts, often assert that the reason behind Daniel Bryan's sudden rise to fame and continual fan-following is that he represents the "common man".

Bryan is The Ultimate Underdog, much like Rey Mysterio used to be during the Ruthless Aggression Era in the WWE. Most fans all over the world absolutely love watching a seemingly ordinary man like Bryan do extraordinary things against WWE stalwarts such as Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, AJ Styles, and so on and so forth.

Bryan represents the spirit of the common man, and the sheer perfection with which he portrays his on-screen character serves to further enhance how genuine his common man persona really is! Ladies and gentlemen, Bryan is one of us!

This emotional connection that Bryan has with the WWE Universe is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, bigger than any UFC Heavyweight Championship or Universal Title that Brock Lesnar may hold.
