5 Reasons why Seth Rollins will betray RAW and re-join NXT

Will Seth Rollins re-join NXT?

Seth Rollins started his WWE career in NXT and it was Triple H who first saw exactly what 'The Architect' had to offer. This is why 'The Game' based the entire NXT brand around Rollins for the first few years. Rollins was the first-ever NXT Champion and the first real face of the brand, so no matter what the former World Champion accomplishes on the main roster, he will always be seen as NXT's greatest success story.

NXT is finally taking the fight to the main roster. After years of WWE taking away their talent and leaving the NXT locker room threadbare, there are now Superstars who actually want to head back to NXT to work with Triple H. These Superstars include Tyler Breeze, Fandango, and Finn Balor.

Seth Rollins could be one of these Superstars to make the move to the Black and Gold Brand. Last night on RAW, Rollins teased a reunion with his old friend. With Survivor Series on the horizon and brand dominance at stake, could Rollins be the man who betrays RAW and returns to his old stomping ground?

#5. There's no Shield left to convince him to stay

The Shield have officially disbanded
The Shield have officially disbanded

In recent years, The Shield has always been able to bring Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose back together whenever one of the members was thinking about walking away. Earlier this year, Ambrose proved that his best friends were not enough to convince him to stay and now with Roman Reigns on SmackDown, there is no one on RAW to talk Rollins out of making a move.

The Shield has officially come to an end, but the group was technically formed while Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose were in developmental. They were three guys with the same attitude who simply decided to take over the main roster. Rollins could head over to NXT and create a new Shield under the guidance of Triple H.

#4. Seth Rollins needs a fresh start

Triple H is the perfect man to give Rollins a fresh start

Seth Rollins has accomplished everything he can on the main roster. He's a Grand Slam Champion, has been part of one of the greatest factions of all time, was the man who defeated 'The Beast' and slayed 'The King,' so it could be time for him to go back to his roots and re-discover who he truly is.

Rollins definitely came out of his feud with The Fiend looking worse off. Bray Wyatt made Rollins' Curb Stomp look ineffective and after Wyatt defeated Rollins at Crown Jewel, he took the Universal Championship to SmackDown where Rollins can't fight for it.

Although Brock Lesnar was able to move brands, it was made clear that he was a special commodity, so Rollins won't be allowed to exact any revenge on The Fiend, which leaves him in a rough place.

Rollins is now without his Universal Championship and looks the weakest he ever has in his career, so perhaps it's time for him to head back to NXT and look for a way to climb his way back up.

#3. Following Finn Balor

Who is the real face of NXT, Balor or Rollins?
Who is the real face of NXT, Balor or Rollins?

The last person who was defeated by 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt was Finn Balor back at SummerSlam. Balor has since found a new home in NXT, where he is reinventing his career and rebuilding himself, so that hopefully he will one day face The Fiend again - only this time as 'The Demon.'

Seth Rollins was the second person to be defeated by Wyatt's new entity and it could be a good plan for he and Balor to get together down in NXT in order to figure out a way to overcome WWE's newest monster.

While this is happening, Balor is fighting to prove that he is the face of NXT, but since Seth Rollins was the developmental brand's first real star, he would be the right person to head to NXT and show Finn Balor that he isn't actually the rightful face.

Balor is currently a fantastic heel in his feud with Johnny Gargano. For someone like Rollins to step in and help Gargano would definitely allow Rollins to reinvent his face character instead of turning heel on the main roster heading into Survivor Series.

#2. NXT needs a face like Rollins to give them a rating's boost

NXT is now live on the USA Network on Wednesday nights and ever since it was moved from the WWE Network last month, it has been aired at the same time as the new AEW Dynamite show.

Over the past month, AEW has definitely seen the better ratings and if there is indeed a Wednesday Night War, AEW is currently winning, so NXT needs to fight back. Finn Balor turned a lot of heads when he returned to NXT a few weeks ago and has since been able to step into an interesting feud with Johnny Gargano, but Rollins could be a real ratings spinner.

Brock Lesnar has returned to Monday Night RAW and Rollins can't go after 'The Beast' once again. 'The Architect' already destroyed Lesnar at both WrestleMania and SummerSlam, so a move to NXT could be the best option for him.

Rollins is no longer needed on RAW, so if WWE can find a way to have him help boost their ratings, then there's no reason why Rollins wouldn't rejoin Triple H in Florida.

#1. NXT is no longer developmental

NXT has definitely changed over the past few years
NXT has definitely changed over the past few years

Seth Rollins was one of the men who originally helped NXT step out of the shadows to become the sensation that it currently is. This was back when the Black and Gold Brand was seen as the company's developmental brand, but ever since they were moved to the USA Network and became a live show, NXT has been treated as WWE's third brand instead.

This means that Rollins wouldn't be seen as taking a step backwards. He would be seen as moving over to a new brand and re-joining the man who helped make his illustrious career. Triple H has been the one consistent thing throughout Rollins' career and could be just the force to re-ignite things for Rollins.

Triple H took him under his wing following The Shield split and later allowed Rollins to defeat him at WrestleMania, which gave 'The Architect' the boost he needed. 'The Game' always knows how to put Rollins back on the right path and given the option, it's likely that the former World Champion would choose to work with Triple H once again in the future.
