Recently Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda reported that Shane McMahon will take over WWE once Vince McMahon retires. Apparently, this is one of the reasons why Shane was heavily involved in the production of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view last month.

It's been rumored for a long time and even the fans agree with this that Triple H should be the man to rule over WWE once Vince calls it quits. He has been working for the company for decades and has done incredible work backstage.

Despite his popularity, the rumor is that Shane will take the helm to continue his father’s legacy. The majority of the WWE fans aren’t quite pleased with this report and they still want The Game to replace Vince McMahon. Here are 5 reasons why we think Triple H should indeed be the person to take over WWE and not Shane McMahon.

#5 He has made NXT a successful project and he can enhance RAW and SmackDown

The fans are very happy with Triple H’s work in NXT. The King of Kings has proved time after time that he can produce great matches and look over fantastic storylines NXT is famous for its quality, and this is one of the reasons why it even got a television deal last year. This show currently competes with AEW Dynamite on Wednesday Nights and even though they are behind in ratings, the fans who watch NXT are very pleased with the content Triple H and Co. provide them.

The WWE Universe often complain regarding RAW and Smackdown not being able to match the great storylines and match-ups in NXT. They want Triple H to take over the production work and be the man to decide what happens in the entire WWE. Shane McMahon, as of now, hasn’t proved anything of the same sort.

#4 Triple H knows how to make the best use of the talent under him and his primary focus is on full-time performers

Vince McMahon relies on part-time superstars a lot more than NXT does Brock Lesnar, for instance, doesn't work a full schedule. Yet he's one of the highest paid Superstars on the roster. Yes he is beneficial to the company, but the fans’ opinion matters as well. A significant part of the WWE Universe doesn't want Brock Lesnar to hold a World Championship for a long time because he doesn't defend it regularly.

Triple H, on the other hand, is well-known among the WWE universe for putting over young talents whenever he gets the opportunity to do so. He always thinks about the future of WWE and knows that active performers are going to benefit the company in the long run. Since Triple H has already proved this from many times and it’s why we think he should replace Vince McMahon, instead of Shane McMahon.

#3 The Game deserves this opportunity as he has everything WWE could ever ask for

It’s worth noting that Triple H has a huge fan following, not just in the States but worldwide. Fans loves him for everything he's done, as a wrestler and as a backstage figure. The Game even has a great reputation behind the scenes in WWE, and it makes sense as to why he should replace Vince McMahon.

We aren’t saying that Shane McMahon doesn’t deserve to take over the wrestling business, it’s just that Triple H is the favorite contender for it. He has got social proof for his work, and it’s why we think he should at least get a chance. The fans believe in his work, and they will be very happy if The King of Kings becomes the next CEO of WWE.

The Game has repeatedly proved himself and deserves the opportunity to show what he can do at the helm. If it doesn't work out, Shane can always replace him.

#2 Triple H can align himself with her wife, Stephanie McMahon, and both will look over at their areas of concern

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H is preparing a team in NXT so that he could easily focus on the main roster when the time comes. The Game has already taken over many aspects of the wrestling business. He and Stephanie could take control over the entire company, once Vinnie Mac retires.

Triple H could look over the creative side of WWE whereas his wife can handle other business-related things (branding and marketing side, for instance). The couple already has a lot of power within WWE and they have already done an excellent job, bringing Ronda Rousey to the company, for instance.

Within the company, the talk is that it is inevitable that Paul Levesque takes over and he’s assembling his team in NXT to be ready when that time comes. In recent weeks, Levesque has taken over the 205 Live television show to go along with the NXT show. It was also Levesque and Stephanie McMahon, and not Vince McMahon, who were doing the negotiations to bring Ronda Rousey to WWE. It was Vince McMahon who cut the deal for Brock Lesnar. It will be interesting who becomes the point person for Lesnar’s talks this time out since it would be Levesque’s department but it’s Vince’s company. H/T: F4W Online

#1 Shane McMahon left the wrestling business in-between and Triple H has more experience than him

Triple H is in the wrestling business for nearly 3 decades now. And only a handful of people has this much experience in WWE. We know that Shane McMahon was once a major part of WWE Television but that has over 20 years ago. Then, he started appearing on live television less often and then, even parted ways from his father’s company to prove himself somewhere else.

On the other hand, Triple H is with WWE since 1995 and has never taken a break from the company (except for a few weeks on rare occasions). Even when he was injured numerous times, HHH was actively working backstage in WWE.

He has so much experience in this field that it doesn’t make a lot of sense to have Shane McMahon take over WWE. Because seemingly, Triple H knows much more about this business than him. He has been through many eras and knows what the current generation wants to see.
