McMahon is the reason we all heard about wrestling

The man, the myth, the personification of the wrestling industry. Vince McMahon is literally the reason why we're all here, he's the reason we heard about wrestling and why we now watch it religiously. It's ridiculous how much the man gets discredited nowadays, he's literally the reason we're even here to have an opinion on it in the first place.

For several years now many have questioned whether Vince McMahon running the company is still best for business. Many say that Triple H should be the guy to now usher in the new era of WWE but I'm here today to show you why Vince McMahon should be allowed to run the company until he feels ready to stop.

Here are 5 reasons why Vince McMahon should run the WWE for the rest of his life.

#5 He's a savage businessman

Vince’s net worth is approximately $800m

Whatever you have to say about Vince and his preferences towards his 'chosen' guys, the man is a certified animal when it comes to business. He will step on and over anyone to get his money and that's a trait you can't teach.

This is a man that was told wrestling wouldn't be able to go global, they told him it'd only be for a niche American market. He proved them wrong and took the WWE to every single corner of the world.

This is the kind of person you need at the head of the company, a man that would never put his pocket at risk. He's someone who is not afraid to push the envelope in order to explore the unknown and then tap into the new markets for profitability.

#4 He has a lot of years left in the tank

At the age of 71, Vince McMahon isn’t showing any signs of slowing down at all. He still has a lot of years left to operate at full capacity. The constant talks of his daughter or son-in-law taking the company over from him must drive him mad.

He's going full throttle at the most crucial period of his company's existence. It's a new digital age and Vince McMahon is still the man to lead us into that new era. He'll bring the old formulated methods of success and fuse them with the new platforms to deliver them.

Vince McMahon could function at the helm of the company to at least the age of 85. And only then could we maybe start discussing when he has should stop. So buckle up WWE Universe, we're in for another fantastic fourteen years.

#3 His name holds weight

When you hear the name Vince McMahon, you think, greatness, power, icon, tycoon and wrestling legend. This is a man that has earned his stripes in the business world and taken on the mantra of being one of the most respected men in the field. He's defied business models whilst creating his own.

For example, let's look at the WWE Network. When the network was first announced back in the January of 2014, many people questioned the logic of the Chairman. However, fast forward three years and the network is thriving, boasting close to two million paying subscribers.

Vince saw the light early on, he predicted the latest phase in the digital age and took a gamble with it. The way we watch TV has changed, live audiences are down across the board because people are either recording their shows or streaming them in one go.

He's a business man with a business plan that's respected by all the juggernauts of the business world. Let’s embrace him before it’s too late.

#2 Triple H isn't ready

Triple H became the COO in 2011

Yes, the cerebral assassin has done a fantastic job with the NXT brand but, it's one thing to create a brand it's another to sustain it. We've all heard the conflicting recent reports that NXT viewership on the WWE Network has significantly reduced over the past few months.

Losing stars like Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, American Alpha and Samoa Joe has apparently been too much for the COO to cope with. If Triple H can't sustain interest in a small brand like NXT, how on earth can he drive the TNC of the WWE?

It's not feasible. Hunter needs to learn how to walk before he can run. Of course, as a younger man and former wrestler, the Game can bring fresh insight to the boss when it comes to booking choices. But from a business standpoint, Vince is still the most qualified man for the job.

#1 He knows how to make stars

Like it or note, this man is a certified genius

Hulk Hogan, John Cena, The Rock, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker just to name a few, are all creations of the great Vince McMahon. Don't tell me this man doesn't know how to book and create stars, the man is a certified genius. Some of the biggest names in the history of the world have come from the brain of the boss.

It takes wisdom to spot a talent, label them, package them, mould them, brand them and then advertise them. Vince McMahon has done this with every single star to ever come out of the wrestling business.

Just try and get your head around how difficult it is to churn out icon after icon to lead different generations. It's pretty fair to say that Vince has been pretty spot on with his judgement in the past. I, therefore, trust him to continue making the right choices when it comes to personnel.
