5 Signs that Super ShowDown was The Undertaker's final WWE match

The Undertaker opted to miss this year's WrestleMania and instead made his return to the ring for the first time since November at Super ShowDown, mostly because there was a lot more money on the table.

The Undertaker and Goldberg have never done battle in a WWE ring before and Saudi Arabia lapped up what would have been a nostalgic match at any other pay-per-view. That being said, the two men put on a fantastic match in the Super ShowDown main event but given the way that The Deadman performed throughout the match, it's likely that this could be his final match on the main stage.

Undertaker vs Goldberg was a complete car crash with a number of botches throughout, which could be enough of a reality check for The Deadman to decide that it's time to walk away.

#5 Going out on a high

The Undertaker was able to defeat Goldberg in the WWE vs WCW match that he and Goldberg reportedly asked for. The two men are close friends and personally asked to fight in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, but it wasn't the match that many of the WWE Universe were hoping for.

The Undertaker lost his last match in Jeddah when he faced Shawn Michaels and Triple H alongside Kane so it made sense that he would make his return and look to end his career on a high. Even though this match is definitely not one that The Undertaker will want to be remembered for, he did win off a chokeslam and regardless of what happens he will have left the company following a win over one of the biggest wrestling legends of all time.

#4 There's nothing left for him to accomplish in the ring

In the latest WWE NEWS, Undertaker has hinted at retirement so many times over the past few years, ever since Brock Lesnar defeated him and ended his undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30. Ever since this defeat The Deadman has been trying to walk away from WWE but has since been roped into matches against Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H as well as John Cena.

Undertaker had the longest-lasting undefeated streak in professional wrestling and is a multi-time World Champion. However, it is time for him to call it a day and bow out on a high. There is literally nothing left for Undertaker to accomplish in WWE now that WCW vs WWE has finally happened he can go out on high and know that many of the records that he set during his time in the ring will never be matched.

#3 He isn't the wrestler that he once was

Tonight's match in Saudi Arabia proved that Undertaker isn't the legend that he once was. Gone are the days that he can perform at the highest level for over half an hour against some of the biggest stars. Instead, it appears that both of Undertaker's last two matches have included some huge botches.

At Crown Jewel, there were a number of botches throughout the match that saw Kane lose his mask and could have left one of the stars injured. Tonight at Super ShowDown, Goldberg was busted wide open when he was thrown into the ring post before there were a number of other botches which included Undertaker being dropped on his head.

At some point, The Deadman needs to realize that he isn't the wrestler that he once was and he can't wrestle at the same level anymore.

#2 He could be injured

The Undertaker is now 54 years old, which means that he doesn't heal from injuries as quickly as he used to so he could have picked up quite a severe neck injury as part of his match with Goldberg when he was dropped as he attempted to take a Jackhammer.

It is unknown who was more at fault in the match since both men botched many of their moves and managed to drop each other, but if The Deadman has injured himself again like he has in so many of his last few matches, it's likely that he will be forced to have a lengthy layoff once again.

Botches like this should be a wakeup call for The Deadman since he could have injured Goldberg and in return, the WWE Hall of Famer could have injured him, so they should be questioning wether or not they should still be in the ring.

#1 Undertaker was not impressed after the match

The Undertaker finally ended the match with a chokeslam and it felt more like a mercy ending than anything else since it was botch after botch until Goldberg finally decided to stay down. The Deadman's face following the pinfall showed that he definitely was not impressed with the way that the match went.

There is no one left in the WWE for him to prove himself against, it's time to admit that the match against Sting isn't going to happen so it's time for The Deadman to hang up his boots and enjoy some time with his family.

The Undertaker will always be a legend but there are only so many matches like this that he can have before the WWE Universe starts asking when he will walk away because it's a sad sight to see him fall this far.
